my bf went to a hardware store that had some plants and brought home this alocasia we think might have some super light variegation? we’ve ran the leaves under water and tried to wash off any dirt that was on there but the spots won’t go away. did he bring me a variegated alocasia of some type? am i seeing things ??
my nephew is in major trouble for tearing up one of my favorite plants lol i was able to find this piece of my tortem and i believe it has a node attached but like 1 or 2 roots. should i plant this in some dirt or propagate in some water first to grow back some of the roots? im not a pro so im stuck and not even sure if its salvageable… please help a sad plant mom😭
i have had these pieces of my grandmas pothos sitting in water in my window that gets the morning sun. it’s given me some really healthy roots but suddenly these whites spots are popping up on the roots!! i just recently put in a piece of this other plant (i think it’s devils backbone??) so i’m not sure if that caused it to do or not. are these babies a total loss??? 😅😫
i just got this plant and i saw it in the light today and noticed these spots on this leaf? i am new to this plant specifically so im not sure. never had pests before either 😔😔
woke up this morning to my prayer plant blooming??? i guess. we have had like a week of rain so it hasn’t been getting much sunlight but never heard of this.
this group was a life saver for me and i just want to make sure i did things right! i ordered a lithops mix recommended in here and bought some clay pots with extra drainage in them and they are planted about 1mm or so above the soil. i gave them a superrrrr light watering to help the mix settle and hold them a little better.but did i set these little guys up for success the right way?
my friend brought me a piece of her philo billie. it had roots and everything so i planted it into a chunky mix and it’s just gotten a little worse each day??? i thought maybe it was too close to the window so i moved it back and nothing has really changed. it gets watered when the soil looks dry and is in a west facing window. no idea what it could be. i’m new to plants and this is my first billie!
i just got a bunch of lithops in and i am looking for the best potting medium for them. these 2 have both been recommended but look different so im not sure which one to go with. i could use the “mojave” mix for more, the other seems only for lithops. please help!!
i picked up this large beauty today from a drunk guy at a nursery for only 40 bucks! it has a lotttt of aerial roots, i’m new to monsteras but i want to give this guy the best chance possible! i would really like to avoid getting a moss pole but i will if it’s an absolute need. what should i do to give this plant the best chance?
