Hot Take: Gautam Gambhir is the best ICT coach till date

I don't care if I get flamed by Dhoni, Kohli or Rohit fanboys. But I still believe that GG is the best coach the Indian team has had since 1932. He has given 2 ICC titles in the span of just one year, while Shastri had produced zero, as a guy who watched Kohli's peak and India's test dominance, that was solely due to Ashwin, Jadeja and Pujji at the peak of their careers between 2015-2019. Kohli was not a tactical genius. He had all of the pieces at the right time. I believe that Kohli's batting dominance and his aggression was the reason we enjoyed such dominance in test in that era.

Also GG has ended the star culture to some extent. He forced the retirements of deadweights such as Rohit and Kohli while also bringing a never-lose mentality. I do agree that he has been a bad test coach.

Why do Bollywood films nowadays are glorifying cheating and adultery?

Hi everyone, this is my first post here, I only watch war and fictional historical films. Films such as Dunkirk,Downfall, Death of Stalin, Last King of Scotland and the Last Emporer are some of my favourite films . I usually don't watch Bollywood or Tollywood unless I am with my family. I have noticed lately from my friends and casual scrolling on Reddit that Bollywood films are promoting or glorifying adultery. While I am aware that Indian film industry is trying to modernize itself and bring in new themes, settings, stories and ideas that portray female representation with meaningfull depth that pitrays women's aspiration of choice and bodily freedom. However films such as Animal (2023), Deva and a few others have glorified adultery not only to drive the point of protagonist being a sigma male but also to show how woman should have intimacy with one man while securing bills from the other.

How does cheating represent feminism or related values. It only repackages objectification of women in a new medium, from what I have seen it has taken inspiration from Hollywood.

Should ODI be reduced to 40 overs? Will it spice up the game? ECB had the Sunday league and later the ECB Pro 40, which were first-class tournaments in the 40 over format and had high viewerships than county matches?

I wanted to ask whether the reduction of ODI to 40 overs per side will actually spice up the game and fix problems plaguing the ODI format.

Has Marxist - Leninism in the 20th century proved that humanity wouldn't be better without religion?

This post is not meant to be anti- communism or an anti - Marxist post. Marxism, like any philosophy, has its pros and cons. Marxism, like any philosophy, has tried to deal with the context of events in which it was placed. This could be seen in the said philosophy attempting to make sense of the increasing inequalities of living standards, disproportionate gains, common historical pattern of societal order and change, modes of conflict and cooperation, and many other aspects related to society during the period of the Industrial Revolution. The longevity of the philosophy can be seen today, where the concerns of Marx, such as the loss of the bargaining value of labour due to AI, destruction of traditional industries, the middle class being a vanguard, alienation of work, govt being an executive class of bourgeoisie, and many more such themes that are relevant in the context of AI and governmental functioning.

While the above themes of research are the said advantages of Marxism , some aspects of the philosophy has aged poorly, these particularly include the aspect of religion in society that the philosophy tries to reason. While some aspects of the phrase " Religion is the opium of the masses" may hold true for certain instances where religion enters politics, public life, leads to regression and lack of questioning. Similarly, didn't the experience of USSR, PRC, DPRK, Eastern Bloc, Cambodia prove how people can agree to an idea without questioning or dissenting and start to create an alternate plain of reality and institutionalize irrationality in society, while many communist states had abolished religion or practiced State Atheism, they created a national culture which displayed how humanity can create something that resembles a religion without being a religion - This can be seen in the massive personality cults where Mao, Stalin, The Kim Family in DPRK and Tito had reached a level of a religious god. We can also see how every state that practiced a philosophy hell bent on abolishing hierarchy to create newer brutal hierarchies which includes a hierarchy which was decided by the partymen and bureaucracy who for lack of a better word became the " red bourgeoise", lack of dissent that was institutionalized by a secret police which could make dissenters disappear overnight, send people to the labour camps where millions would perish and huge purges on the intelligentsia as seen with the Great Purge(1937-39) and the Cultural Revolution( 1965-1975) being the most famous examples, persecution against ethnic minorities which was the causes of dissolution of the USSR and Yugoslavia. So, did ML in practice create something that even the most radical of religious preachers could never create? Instead of it being of a god or the clergy, it was for a man and his ego.

Is there a possibility that "Bon" is a character that was wronged by Jack and Felix?

While this may be a theory that has no substantive evidence due to the lack of information about the character and the limited number of episodes he appears in. I believe that " Bon" is someone who was wronged by Jack and Felix; this could be seen from the list of people that is recited when Ashley plays the said tape on Billy's tape recorder. We can see that it targets all those that is close to Jack Walten. I also want to know that if this is the case, then why does he work with Felix and not harm him as well?

Why do people say that Granny without hunting music was scarier and more unpredictable, I believe that chase music has made the game scarier.

As we all know, everybody in this fandom is of the opinion that Granny prior to 1.8 was more scarier as compared to the present due to the absence of a hunting music. I would say that the game has gotten scarier after the addition of the chase music as the chase music is often loud and can scare you if you are not expecting it(especially in extreme). I felt the game felt frustrating prior to having a hunting music since the direction of the footsteps was unreliable and could only be heard when she was very close, the inaccuracy of the footsteps along with the ambience music would just create instances where you would be left frustrated and not scared. While I agree that the present chase music sounds like an action movie sequence rather than of a horror game.

Why are people still believing after all this time that Jack is Bon? Martin clearly tried to remove that association with the introduction of the Bon spirit. I do believe that until Ep 3 Jack was going to be Bon but it got retconned.

Why do people after all this time still believe that Jack is Bon, Martin clearly introduced the Bon spirit to remove that association that people made after watching Episodes 1-3?

Has Granny gotten slower on easy mode

I remember Granny being much faster in easy mode in version 1.7 as compared to the present versions, while I have beaten extreme a few dozen times and only play on extreme nowadays, I do at times casually play on other difficulties. While speed of Granny in hard mode and normal mode feels the same speed in 1.7. I feel that her easier mode has gotten slower after five minutes of playing on easy.

Hot Take: Militarization of Indian society is the only way to fix all the problems of the society

While this may sound controversial to many, I believe that militarization of society can fix majority of India's societal problems. The advantages may range from better discipline and civic sense, woman empowerment, national unity, lessening of ethno - nationalist regional divisions, better understanding of different regions of the country, better responsibilities, more empathy etc. By militarization I not only refer to conscription but a creation of a society that is culturally, socially , economically and emotionally centered towards the armed forces. Militarization from the study of history not only improves the unity and loyalty of the populace but also that of organization, enterprises and society. ROK's industrialization involved the govt forcefully pushing the major business lobbies to industrialize or to face penalties, similarly PRC also follows a very high level of civil defense fusion where tech companies not only produce IT and tech products also produce drones, satellites, information and missile systems in order to aid the military. Imagine the increase in RnD that will take place for the purposes of creation of sustainable deep tech industrial complex for the army, navy and air force.

Why do people keep saying how "Steelwool killed FNAF" or how old FNAF is dead etc. Why don't people appreciate the fact how Steelwool pulled up their socks after SB and grown leaps and bounds, this can be seen how every game is better than the last ?

Same as above

Does the Granny Trilogy have any sort of lore?

Have been playing the Granny Games for years now, I wanted to ask whether Granny Trilogy has any sort of official lore. Granny was a huge part of my childhood and I would remember making Granny theories and watching Caffe TV videos. However , official lore hints and stories by Dvloper is very scarce. Can anybody point why that is the case.

How did India have a resurgence in hockey after losing its status as one of the world's most powerful teams in the 1970's, . While football teams performance has gotten worse. How did hockey which had the same status in terms of decline with football has been able to revive itself?

The question is same as above, while India had dominated hockey from 1930's to all the way in the 1970's before suffering a sharp decline before seeing a resurgence in terms of performance in the 2010' s which has further carried on this decade. Football meanwhile has a different story but similar story from being on of the best Asian sides till the early 1970's to a decline that has seen no name of stopping despite the creation of ISL. How has hockey been able to envision a resurgence while football has shown no signs of doing so.

Why there has been a recent explosion of Hello Neighbour Alpha Type fangames?

Since the last year or so, I have seen the explosion of games that try to mimic the magic of Pre Alpha and Alpha 1. Currently there is nearly no shortage of these games which had began from Hello Neighbour Alternative Reality with now a whole host of games such as Hello Neighbour Reborn, Proto Type revived, curse retold and many more. Why have these games drawn criticism from the community apart from technical flaws.

Am I aimless?

Am I aimless

1 19M , feel that I am fed up of my life. I have no clue where I am going, I feel constant feelings of frustration, anger and self harm are constant. I often imagine violent, negative and life threatening altercations daily. I can't find out ways to fix insecurities. I am working hard everyday or try to do that before seeing the story of an IITIAN who became a billionare at Golden Sachs. Most importantly I feel I am behind a very big breakthrough. See people who work way less than me succeed. I feel the world treats me like a doormat. Is there any chance for me to succeed.
