How do Canadian Etsy sellers survive shipping?

Shipping costs are insane in Canada.

I am a new Etsy seller and just learned how expensive shipping is. Even if you use a competitor like Chit Chat.

If I have a product selling for $30 on Etsy, the shipping is $20 to $30.

How do Canadian Etsy sellers do it?

Print with Supports - How?

This is a 1 cm thick object which a decorative rim around it designed in Plasticity. I want to keep the decorative rim and I do not want to use supports. The image taken is the underside of the object which is placed on the build plate. Since the saggy thready part has no supports it is saggy.

If I rotate the object 90 degrees so that the current saggy part is perpendicular to the build plate, the sagginess will be fixed, but the rim up top will now be saggy.

I want to keep the rim since it gives less of a "cheap" look to it, it adds a layer of dimension.

How can this be printed or designed differently to prevent the sag?

How have you managed US tarriffs?

For Canadian businesses who ship their products to the US how have you managed tarriff pricing and competing with similar products made in the US who do not have to pay the tarriffs?

I create small products in Ontario which I ship around Canada to the few customers I have.

When I look at my competition in the US I do not compete on price because my prices would be too high due to tarriffs.

What have you folks done to address this?

Avoid selling in US? Open a factory in US? Sell to other countries ?

Thanks

Promoting you game - idea to help

Hi

I am working on an idea to help promote your site. Old school networking through the web. Do you remember the old text link networks from 20 years ago with geocities? same old... nothing crazy. Looking for a volunteer or two who is working on a pbbg (you have a website already up and running) and we can try a network between our servers...

There are so many good pbbgs out there that as a community I think it would be good if we try different ways to discover one anothers games

link: gameseek.com

discord: https://discord.gg/wV4AknS2r

Send me a DM or text below if interested in testing it.. it is free and takes about 10 minutes of your time. thanks.. looking forward to helping! Keep posting great games!
