Going into 6th, I’ve made a good few posts on this Reddit and I’ve read a lot too and the number one thing I’m seeing is “don’t start studying in September” I just wanna know why? I thought that was normal and mandatory..I was so burnt out in 5th year before Christmas that I forgot basically everything on my Christmas exams but I feel like u need to start the moment u get into sixth because in my school when ur in 6th year u have October exams not Christmas exams, I just rlly wanna know when is the best time to start studying as someone who isn’t aiming for excellence and rarely studies unless I have to

Not related at all to leaving cert but I’m just gonna say it involves 6th year, I’m going into 6th and half my friends are now either doing their theory test or already finished lessons and have a car, everyone is making it out to seem like I will die in college if I don’t have a car and tbh I’m only in a rush because of everyone around me, I don’t want to do my theory because I need to rlly lock in for the leaving cert, Whens a normal time to get a car anyway? Not to mention I couldn’t find a job and nearly everyone I know is employed by family so I have no way to get money, do I seriously need a car for college it seems like such an effort right now

This has probably been asked so many times here but I’m genuinely convinced I will fail maths..I’ve never passed a maths exam besides the junior cert and even then it was only a merit in ordinary, I actually cannot do maths my mind completely looses the plot I don’t need maths for any of my college courses I believe but obviously I have to pass it, is there any tips on how to get better I rlly don’t like asking for help in school but lads I still count with my fingers like

I’ve been playing this game longer than she has and I introduced her to it, she was rlly poor for like ever until like a month ago when she learnt about how to trade and then she got way richer than me..so I mass reported her account and she got banned, there can only be one rich friend it had to be done

I don’t know what the right term is but I’ve always been the distant family member on both sides, no reason for it honestly I’m just not a family person, both sides of my family are very dysfunctional and I’ve known about it all for years..however this isn’t the reason why I’m distant I just have nothing in common with my family and I don’t intend on ever reaching out to them or hanging out with them (minus my mum and my siblings nephews nieces etc) I have a wedding in October and I’m dreading it.. it’s my mums side of the family and while they are way less problematic than my dads side I don’t know them, like at all..for starters the 2 getting married is my cousin who I have shook hands with once and never actually had a conversation with, and his fiancée who I genuinely have no idea who she is, my 4 cousins and my two aunts I rlly like them a lot but everyone else I don’t know, I have a cousin my age and I think we would not get on well (a lot of reasons) these all may seem selfish but I genuinely don’t see the point in me going, I don’t know them and besides the 6 people I have no contact with this HUGE family, I also hate weddings events where I have to dress up I’m very shy and I’ve always liked being distant..it makes me feel sane it’s not a long wedding it’s only for a night but I don’t think anyone will even realise I’m there, not to mention I am significantly younger than everyone, I’m an adult but only just and everyone is pushing 40..

I haven’t told my mum that I don’t want to go, I feel so guilty but if I go I’ll just stay in the hotel room the whole time, I prefer keeping my distance because I don’t see these people as family which sounds horrible..I feel like I am missing out on so much however if this was my dads side whom I know a lot better or my friends, I think I’d be more willing to go? Just these people I have no bond with at all

I’m going into 6th year and at the start of 5th I decided to drop German, idk what it is but I genuinely COULDNT speak it I even tried French too, I do Irish still but I’m barely managing..I was told that I qualify for DARE by CAMHS and a letter was sent to my school in October I think, I don’t know what I want to do yet but a lot of my courses need a third language however I was told in DARE I could skip that requirement? Is this true or have I cooked my future? I have no intention of dropping Irish but I already dropped a third language

I lost my period 5 years ago, about 3 years after I got it..the doctors are still trying to find out why I lost it but all I know is they said it doesn’t look like PCOS from my scan, however I was put on these tablets idk what they are called anymore but I had to take them for 10 days and then in the 30 days after the last one I should get a period, I got one a few days later so my first period in 5 years. I’ve always been very knowledgeable about periods the school I was in and my mom taught me about them every year, but I am struggling I am not use to this anymore, my flo is genuinely so heavy I am bleeding through every pair of trousers I own, I’m writing this because I had a shower an hour ago I just went to the bathroom just now and I’ve already leaked thru my pyjamas, I’ve always had a heavy flo but this is just annoying, Its not even just that the cramps my mood as well I am so tired all day..I would really like some help on how to cope with periods now that I’m probably gonna be on a regular schedule now

It’s just difficult to get use to now and I have a load of anxiety, in these 5 years I’ve never had to worry about leaking in school, college, cramps in public I’ve never had to bring pads just Incase..I don’t know but I feel like I’ve missed a chunk of my life where I adjust to this

I was that student who did genuinely fck all for the last 5 years and that’s not me over exaggerating I’m being so serious I managed to kind of lock in in 5th year but if I’m not bothered I actually don’t care, I’m going into 6th and this summer is so short for some reason and I’m a nervous wreck also just the fact I have to be in that god awful school for ANOTHER YEAR with the same teachers and people I hate, I don’t think I’m gonna make it

Max was my first special companion and I love him to pieces, I noticed that characters like Eric and Olaf have special dialogue for max, I think olaf says something about giving max a treat? I know there is more characters but I can’t think of any.
