Need some tips to spice up this rock (or change it altogether)

Heya folks, I’ve been working on a Chaos Knight Lancer, and I’m approaching the part where I start priming him. However, one roadblock still stands in my way. This cork rock he stands on doesn’t feel natural at all. None of the other knights in my army stand on rocks, which only makes it stand out even more. I’ve never worked with cork before now, so if anybody has tips on how to make it look more natural, or has ideas on alternatives to a rock, I’d love to hear it! Thanks!

Building a squad of 3 reavers, should I use Caltrops or a Grav-Talon?

Heya folks, I finally folded and bought some reavers. I know the heat lance is the best gun on the guy, but what about caltrops vs talons? I thought that the talon was just better since the fly-by ability only outputs one extra potential mortal wound, but they kinda just die if they get into melee anyways, no? So, I figured I’d ask people who have more experience than me (I’ve only played one game with Drukhari so far), which one is better for Reavers? Advice is appreciated, thanks!

Need help with an Archtormentor kitbash concept!

(Sorry if this is the incorrect flair)

I have come across a Farseer Skyrunner, and I planned to convert it into an Archtormentor to lead Reavers in a crucible game. I don’t own any reavers yet, but this was going to be my reason to get some. That said, upon getting to actually building the model, I’m having a really hard time figuring out how to kitbash this into a Drukhari model. The robes of the Farseer make for a very weird body shape, and no Drukhari body I have fits on the bike without looking tiny. I feel like I can reasonably turn the BIKE into a Drukhari one, but the rider is what I’m struggling to make work. If anybody’s got advice on things I could do to convert this properly, I would very much appreciate it!

Please help me make a decent Lords of Dread list!!

Heya folks, I’ve been collecting chaos knights for a hot minute now, and I’ve only played a few games with them. I’m not that good at the game yet, so I was wondering if you guys could help me figure out a good list to run? I’ve compiled every unit that I own for knights into this list so you guys know everything I have. Despoiler loadouts post-points changes?

Heya folks! I’m working on my Lords of Dread list, and I was wondering how the change to the Despoiler’s points affected its loadouts? I was originally going to run Battle Cannon + Claw, but now I’m almost leaning towards the Thermal Cannon + Claw, to get that anti-tank, close ranged build going. I know that technically doubling down on one gun is the best loadout, but I honestly like the look of the knight with different weapons on its arms. What do you guys think of the despoiler loadouts now? Thanks!

Is the Ruinator any good in 11th?

Heya folks, I’m working on a Lords of Dread list, and I just picked up a Knight Ruinator kit. I was planning to run a Rampager in my list, but I decided to sub-assemble a Dreadbore just for fun. Now, I’m absolutely in love with the Ruinator’s weapons, and really want to run one. That said, I don’t want to handicap myself by running a bad unit. I don’t play competitively, but the group is fairly powerful for a casual setting. I already build my lists kinda silly, so I feel like it would probably be alright, but I wanted to get some second opinions first. So, is the Ruinator any good? I’m worried I’ll build it, and then it won’t have a place in my list unless the opponent is running a bunch of monsters or vehicles. Thank you!

Need help fixing my friend’s stream!

Hello, I’m sorry if this isn’t the right subreddit to ask in, but my friend was testing out her new live2D model, and they were really excited to do so. The model was tracking fine, everything worked until they started streaming a game (Genshin impact, in this case). Their model got jittery, and wouldn’t really track them anymore, despite it tracking flawlessly moments ago. We tried doing some troubleshooting, but neither of us are really good at computer stuff, so we couldn’t figure it out. If anybody has ideas on how to make it track normally while they play a game, that’d be great. Thank you!!

I got great advice yesterday, now I’m looking to build Inalla, Archmage Ritualist! Any tips?

Heya folks, my post about Chromium yesterday gave me some fantastic advice. That said, while going through my card collection, I could my Inalla, Archmage Ritualist that I never built. I’ve struggled to figure out how exactly I’m supposed to build her. Can anybody give me advice on how to do that? I would really appreciate it! The pod isn’t CEDH, but they play fairly fast casual, so preferably deck ideas that don’t take too long to set up, and still pack a punch! (Also, unless it’s really the only way to build her, I’d prefer to avoid infinite combos.) Thanks guys!

EDIT: After being informed that she doesn’t really work in casual that well, I am now building her for my CEDH pod instead. If you guys have tips on how to build her STRONG, including infinite combos, I’d love to hear them.

How differently do Drukhari (Kabals) play from Emperor’s Children?

Heya folks, I have been a big fan of Drukhari and Emperor’s Children for a long time. I built 1k of EC first, and plan to build 1k of Drukhari. Well, I went to play my first game with EC last weekend, and they felt miserable to play. I’m happy I painted the models and everything, but I had to watch as my entire army got gunned off the board by servostrike turrets and Armiger Helverins turn one before I could do anything. He just had vantage against all of my units, and none of the cover on my side of the board could completely obscure my units. Now I’m worried that I’m going to have the same issues with Drukhari (which I really want to build as a Kabal list, cause I adore all three blades for hire units). Are Drukhari as brittle and focused on melee as EC, or do they have their own niche? My main opponents are space marines, Sororitas, and TSons, with some surprise appearances from Tau and GSC. My only other army I’m working on currently is Chaos Knights (my all time favorite looking army, the kitbashes are so cool). I’m really feeling bummed out after that match, so if anybody’s got some good advice, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

EDIT: We talked things out, he apologized. I didn’t process that the board was unfair until after I got gunned down, and he didn’t realize that his narrative game was set up at my expense. He wanted a narrative game where chaos stormed his castle, and didn’t process how hard it would be for a melee army to win that. Both of us are fairly new, but he apologized. Thank you everyone for your advice, I’m gonna give Emperor’s Children another try, and I’ll return back to Drukhari once our refresh drops. Thanks again to all of you, you really helped me sort things out!

How do you guys make realistic battle damage?

Heya folks, I’m working on my first converted chaos knight, a Lancer. I really want to add scratches, chips, and gouges to the armor to make him look like he’s REALLY been through the wringer. He’s a knight that’s never had its armor changed since the heresy, so he still has the Eye of Horus on him. I want to add multiple different kinds of scratches and wear, to not make it look like they’re all done by the same weapon. How do you guys do it? Any tips would be much appreciated!

(I’m not done adding chaos-y stuff to his armor, I just want to get the battle damage out of the way before adding more stuff)

How do you guys make your knights look more chaos-y?

Heya folks, I’ve been an avid enjoyer of the chaos knight aesthetic for a long time, but I’ve been too daunted by the idea of customizing them to actually start. I’ve bought small jewelry chains to drape around it, but I’m still a bit overwhelmed trying to decide how to start. I want to add scratches and spikes and all of that, but I’m not quite sure how to while making it look natural on the model. If anybody has tips, that would be awesome. Heya folks, I’m working on spicing up my first 1000 points of Iron Hands, and I thought it would be really fun to try and round up as many unique servo skulls as I could. I adore servo skulls, they’re one of my favorite bits every time I get a box with one in it, so I want to collect them! Hey folks, I recently picked up a Jokaero Weaponsmith, and I’m getting ready to paint him. But I’ve realized that I don’t have much experience with browns and oranges. What colors should I use to get a scheme similar to the official one?
