Anyone got this combo to work at all? The missing link is steamos since I know the game works on the device with windows..
I can live with the concessions with steamos on Intel but I can't figure out this game. Other people got it to work with Intel but their Proton settings and start commands don't work for the claw 8ai. I'm sure this is a super niche ask though
Kinda screwed up today with my snaa kit. I was using stedi water based panel liner and erasing with 70% alcohol just fine. But I decided to use my black pour type gundam marker and didn't notice that my eraser pen ran out already.
I already ordered replacements but those don't arrive for a week. Do the pour type liners get difficult to remove over time? Or will an eraser pen still be able to remove it eventually? Are there alternatives I can use? Does lighter fluid remove this kind of liner?
Tried rubbing hard with the alcohol but I just ended up fucking up the gold color of the weapon... I'll eventually get around to using metallic marker to fix it though.
Not sure which component is going nuts but when I turn off the light settings on the M center, they just keep coming back on wakeup. Is there some proper order to turning it off?
This would be my first Bandai kit after only working on the snaa knights. Bandai really has amazing attention to detail on the manuals . Kinda taken aback by how few runners there are on high grade kits. But that's also comparing real grade equivalents I guess.
Also got the barbatos lupus and zagan for around 20 usd. Looking forward to buying more accessories for these 3. Gramps doesn't have much. Anything I should watch out for with this kit? Or recommendations for making it look nice? Planning to pose them against the knights since most of them are melee focused
Which app does this the best? I'm kinda lost on how to force the device to even recognize the back buttons. Steam in big picture mode + steam input doesn't recognize the back buttons at all.
Not sure how to go about it. My only experience with back buttons were on steamos. The deck and ally z1e on steamos just worked without headaches...
Just reinstalled this game on an msi claw ai running windows c11 and I'm running into a weird issue. When I turn off steam input, the game runs fine but the controls are whack. Buttons are mapped to the right stick and sometimes to multiple actions at once.
When I turn it on, it doesn't run at all. I'm running winhanced on it and it's running through steam. But I'm just stuck with it running weirdly in the background. No task bar icon to force close it or anything
I think I'm fairly late into the game already, around the third act I'm assuming. But the jump in levels for the target monsters for the quests I've opened up suddenly jumped at least 5 levels.
Quests are now asking me to fight monsters at level 90ish when I'm still around 75. Do I just push through the storyline and come back? Is there no place to grind up levels?
Also, I'm assuming I need to grind out everyone's affection levels now to create more links. Are affinity coins limited or can we farm them repeatedly on unique monsters?
Is there a button combo to force the 8ai into dock mode or something? I know it recognizes the skull and co dock for the steam deck since it switches over to ethernet connection and charges when connected.

But it doesn't disay over the TV. I know on steamos for the deck and ally it just displays right away.
Coming from a steam deck and rog ally on steamos, I have to say I'm kinda amazed at the gaming experience. I've had minimal messing with windows level settings and I don't notice the difference. Windows fse still feels weird though.

All my games are on steam except for Diablo 4 on blizzard. So I'm content with just big picture mode and dealing with controller setups on a per game basis. The one game that I had trouble with was one poexe warriors 4 and that was an easy enough fix.

Are there other games that outright don't run because of Intel incompatibility or something? Or will I even know what to look for so I don't inadvertently get them.

Also are the usual youtube tips for new owners still updated? Most guides are a year old. Didn't they come out before windows fse became a thing?
Didn't notice that my ally stopped charging while it was on the dock. I picked it up and the battery finally drained when I went to check on it...

Not sure what else I can do. It just suddenly gave up. No charging light appears whatever charging wire I use. Not even the official charger does. And the ones I've tested charge my phone.

Is there anything else I can try before I just give up?
Just found out that metallic finishes require something special and not just the Mr hobby gloss coating. Coating became all cloudy. I assumed this was user error as a first time coater but I already read that it's not.

Any brand I should be looking for that still makes it shiny? I'm also assuming higher level customization like this will require an airbrush. Hopefully the dspiae wash free airbrush set will be enough.
Just need to know if I'm locking myself out of quests. I think I just advanced past a point of no return with the end of chapter 15. Haven't seen new quests popping up and I haven't gotten affinity up for multiple regions.
What triggers these quests anyway? I'm following the guide on the wiki but i don't see chapter number as part of the requirements... Thought I could just get shulks other talent trees.
Tried rail gun for a nightmare run and it just felt bad... I was constantly running for my life and it didn't feel like it was putting in the work I knew it could.
I've only been making snaa kits as a beginner so far and the experience has been generally OK so far. Got to learn from each mistake along the way. Got to erasing seam lines with melted runners + plastic cement and even trying and failing to recreate parts with pla plates...
But I got a mg freedom 2.0 and an rg shining gundam cheaper than usual and started looking at Yt reviews. Kinda jarring seeing how stark the outline is on these stickers on closeup. Or are these water slides already I'm seeing? They look nothing like snaa decals...
Do I really need setter and softener for these?
Anyone have tips on recreating pieces? Total noob here just discovering that a vent cover went missing / was probably thrown own after an snaa kit.
I glued the other vent on and not realize I should have used it to size match the pla plate. Or thrown it away to make both sides match... Oh well.
Kinda committed to making a replacement now but I'm not sure how it usually goes. Is it better to glue together a big rectangle with multiple layers and sand it down? Or glue together small bits at a time and sand it down as needed? Not really sure what I'm even doing here even
