The theme was Dinosaurs, there were 12 submissions and its an interesting mix. Genuinely so happy to see it.

When giving feedback please try to make it detailed and constructive. Tell them how the game can be improved in your opinion. How much you played, how far did you get in the game, what did you like and where were the friction coming from etc.

We are on the front page 🎉

Games from Pakistan event is on the front page of Steam just like promised.

This event has been a small dream come true. The goal was never to just sel games but to show the rest of you that there are Pakistanis working on their dreams and making games.

If they can do it, so can you. Nothing is impossible, go work on your dreams, make things happen, create things and put Pakistan on the map.

Happy Independence day everyone 🫡🇵🇰

I published a prototype. Here's some in-game art I made for it.

The full game will be about exploring an abandoned chocolate factory.

There is a mascot named Choco Chase. And I made some in-game posters. The depiction of Choco Chase for now is placeholder but represent the vibe I am going for.

Cursed. The vibes are cursed.

Visual Novel Project: Looking for a hobbyist or students to join our team!

Hello, so this is a hobby passion project. Unpaid and purely volunteer based.

I'm a programmer and my friend has written a story draft for a visual novel. IMHO the story is really good, well written and it should be turned into a game or some kind of visual finished thing. Problem is we lack art skills and we want to do it justice. So I'm asking for any volunteer who would be interested.

I'll link the story in comments. It is desi story, about our desi problems and cultural issues.

There are some trigger warnings:

This story contains depictions of child and domestic abuse, emotional and physical violence, depression, suicidal ideation and acts, death and grief (including death in childbirth), marital and familial dysfunction, sexism/gender-based discrimination, religious/cultural fatalism, medical trauma, blood and injury, and intense emotional distress.

In its current state, the story is still a draft and if you choose to join the team, ideas to improve it or ideas about the visual direction will be most welcome.

We are not looking for an expert artist. But we are looking for someone who will understand and emotionally connect with the story and lend it a bit of their artistic soul to it.

Appreciate it.

Everything in this level, walls, decorations, pipes, vents, lights and doors were generated using Blender geo nodes.

I only laid down the floor plans.

"If a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing badly" - from the third book of Disc world.

Been thinking about this in relation to AI, game dev and art.

From a reddit comment:

The actual quote is by the philosopher G.K. Chesterton.

“If a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing badly.” “These things [by which he means ‘writing one’s own love letters or blowing one’s own nose’] we want a man to do for himself, even if he does them badly” (Orthodoxy, 1908). “Chesterton’s point here is not that things worth doing are worth doing badly but that some things one must do oneself, however badly they are done. “Blow your own damn nose” would be a pretty good paraphrase and might even work as a refrigerator magnet.”

Which is what the Disc world quote meant too. Because the dialog in the book was like: You know magic, why do you waste time lighting the fire then, why not just light it with magic [it'll be more efficient].

---

Anyway, this is my status update: On the third book of disc world and the series has been a really fun read so far. Bunch of jokes that I'm sure I'll end up using in my games at some point.

I made a small and free puzzle escape room

Escape Cataclysm is a small first person puzzle adventure game.

Imagine if a saw trap was also a world ending event. Escaping the room you are in is not enough. You also have to figure out how to survive the catastrophe.

That is the idea behind this game.

Free on itch. Available for PC (windows, mac and linux)
