Sonos API surround sound help

I‘m trying to configure a front left and right speaker for my Sonos setup. I tried using SonoSequencr to do this and just cannot deal with how bad the UI is. I figured I’d spin up a curl request (or an app if I’m feeling motivated) so I can configure a left and right front speaker.

I was curious if anyone who has played around with the Sonos API knows what endpoints I should be looking at. I took a look through their documentation but cannot for the life of me find anything about configuring surround sound. Since it’s configurable in the SonoSequencr app I assume I’m just missing it.

Worst case I’ll suck it up and use the app, but I figured I’d play around with the API since I can.

Roadtrip in Vermont

Hey all! Looking to visit Vermont during fall leaf season and do a road trip around the state. Any recommendations for towns to visit, farms to check out, or routes to take? I haven’t decided on how long to stay, but I was thinking maybe a week if there’s enough to see. Thinking of flying in to Albany or Boston and driving from there.

Bridge mode not working

Hi there, I’m trying to set up my new quantum service with my own router and the q1000k modem. I tried following this guide https://www.reddit.com/r/QuantumFiber/comments/1f8hypq/having_trouble_with_your_lumen_internet_not/ and some other ones but haven’t had any luck getting my internet working. I’m using a tplink archer be550.

- Click Apply

- Advanced Settings -> WAN Settings -> ISP Procotol to Transparent Bridging

- plugged into router

- router has no internet connection

What am I doing wrong?

Edit: For anyone else running into this, before the NID was in bridging mode I had to connect my NID to the router, get a new IP address set on the router so it didn’t conflict with the NID (it did this automatically when I pulled up the router settings), and then I was able to set the NID to bridging mode (without adjusting tagging) and successfully connected back to the router.

Anyone have luck getting reasonable mini split install quotes?

I’m trying to get one or two heads for a Mitsubishi hyper heat mini split, and the quotes I’ve gotten so far are insane. Most have been around $13-15k for two of them (and electrical). Anyone have any luck on prices with local installers?

AC can’t get below 80F?

We have a two story home with bad air pressure on the upper level. However, we insulated and air sealed our attic to R50 thinking it would help the temperature. The temp differential between main level and upstairs has improved, but our AC is still having to constantly run just to maintain our upstairs at 80F when it’s above 80 outside. It can’t seem to get it below 80. Is there anything more I can do? The AC unit was installed in 2019. Our energy bill is quite high despite setting our temperature to 78 during the day. The only thing left I can think of is replacing our windows. We have double celled window shades as well that I keep closed.

Is it too hot to plant lettuce?

We have some lettuce we planted months ago that’s doing great, so I wanted to plant some more. Will it bolt with the heat though? I’m wondering if I should wait until the fall when it cools off a bit.

What parts do I need to attach this globe to this lamp?

I’ve been trying to refurbish this hobnail milk glass lamp and attach the top to the lamp, but I’m stuck on what parts I’m missing. I looked at this https://a.co/d/0bxmH2OV but I’m not sure how to get it to stay up on the upright portion of the lamp.

Best Pilates instructor?

Hi there! I’m trying to see if I can replace my in person Pilates with Apple fitness. So far I haven’t been super impressed, in part because the class times are so short so it’s never a full body workout. The exercises are also on the easy side for me. I‘ve only done two classes though, so I’m hoping there’s some better options in the list. Are there any instructors you like best?

Hydrangea

Has anyone had success with hydrangeas here? I’ve tried two over the last few years and they never come back up in spring. Do I just need to be watering them more over the winter? I have them in raised beds typically, but I’m going to try directly in the ground this year.
