Moving back to VT (Vergennes-ish)

Moving back after ten years, just accepted a job in Vergennes… Looking for any leads or recommendations on housing (Front Porch Forum deleted my account because of inactivity lol)? Whole place, 1 or 2BR, cats a must. Would love to be in Vergennes, but open to anywhere between South Burlington & Middlebury. TIA :)

Potential Move to Vermont

Hello VT friends! I’m a 26 year old male living in the NJ/NY area considering a move up to your beautiful state. I work in healthcare and can take a travel contract anywhere in the country. New Hampshire interests me most but I am not opposed to Vermont either, just wondering if it makes sense for my lifestyle. I’m big into hiking/backpacking, love New England, and have friends in and around the state including NY, Maine, and Mass. I’m already in the whites once a month anyways as well as the Adirondacks. Besides hiking I enjoy checking out new towns, cafes, just seeing what’s unique to an area. Would love to hear suggestions for places to live based on my interests. Appreciate you all ✌🏼

Moving to White River

Hello my fellow Vermonter’s. My name is Cat and I’m 31. 💜🤍💜 so I originally come from Bellows Falls and moved away to California after some life trauma . .

I’m moving back to White River Junction near the end of July and need some help navigating the bus system because I’ll need a job. ( I don’t have a license )

I’m coming to be my dad’s caregiver but I’m unsure if I can get paid for that or if I could get hired by the state as a caregiver for my dad? (Maybe help with this?)

I’ve never lived in central VT, I’ve always lived in Bellows Falls, Brattleboro, Westminster, and went to JobCorps in Vergennes. Visited Burlington once 😮‍💨 so I am NOT familiar… especially since I’ve been in California since 2018…

Anyways anybody from this area with any tips ?

I’m 420 friendly so recommendations are welcome for this as well. I love coffee, I miss the art scene, I won’t know anybody besides family..

Traveling to Middlebury, VT

My family and I are traveling to Middlebury mid July for his work. I will have our 3 year old all day and would love to get out and explore! It looks like Middlebury is pretty small so I don’t mind to travel within 2 hours for a day trip somewhere.

Give me all the recs for food, activities, must sees, fun in the sun!

Curious About Ham Radio? Come Visit Us at Hubbard Park This Weekend

The Central Vermont Amateur Radio Club (CVARC) will be participating in ARRL Field Day tomorrow, Saturday the 27th, starting at 2:00 PM and continuing until Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Old Shelter in Hubbard Park in Montpelier, VT.

Field Day is the largest amateur radio event in North America. Clubs and individuals set up temporary stations to test equipment, learn new skills, and make contacts across the country and around the world.

I will be running the GOTA (Get On The Air) station, which is specifically intended for newcomers, inactive hams, and anyone who is curious about amateur radio. No experience or license is required to sit down, ask questions, and get on the air.

If you've ever wondered what amateur radio is, wanted to see the equipment in action, or just want to make a contact on the air, stop by and say hello. We'd love to meet you.

This is a great way to meet members of the community if you are new in the area!

Saturday, 6/27, 2:00 PM until Sunday, 6/28, 2:00 PM
