I feel like it should land right around where the Lugia V from Silver Tempest is priced at ($1300). Given that the pop of the Zard is close to 1.5x Lugia's and still climbing with reprints to come, the set is 3 years newer, and paired with the fact that it's also THE modern Charizard grail of this generation, I feel like it makes for a perfect mix of attributes to put these cards at the same or very similar price points when the dust settles. My random guess would be that it'll stabilize right under $1400.

Picture this:
You're on a carride headed to a family vacation. You've got your DS Lite & you're running your first playthrough of Pokémon Black/White. Your starter was either Snivy or Oshawott if you have good taste. You just beat the Elite 4 and walk through to the Champion's Room. N's Castle rises from the ground. You reach the the top of the castle and absolutely sweep N's team.
Peak nostalgia, am I right? Gen 5 will always be one of my favorites.

I've seen some bad 10s before, but this is just hilarious. New cert too. 55-45? More like 65-35. This is why you always check the condition, even when buying graded cards.

With a large majority of the attention on vintage & mid era currently, has anyone started buying into the modern dip? If so, what specific set or cards?

I've had my eye on a few slabs in 10s that I've wanted for a while and I'm just now making moves on them. Mostly cards that have lower gem rate than usual for modern but also a few specifics that I just really like such as the N's Zoroark from Ascended since it's well under half the price of it's high in a 10.

I wonder if the 30th will swing the market back toward modern at all.

Absolutely insane that this card got the black label with that top-bottom centering. I found this card in a listing on ebay and verified the cert number, it's real. Grading has and always will be subjective to the specific grader your card ends up with. You could re-submit a card that's already been graded a black label and it would most likely take multiple submissions to achieve it again. Realistically, all grading companies will have their mistakes, but an egregious miscalculation like this is unacceptable. The higher liquidity that comes with PSA & BGS is just undeniable.

I picked up an Espeon ex from Unseen Forces in an 8 earlier this year & finally snagged this beauty to go with it. Nice phat sworly as well. Pics just don't do it justice.

A bit bottom heavy but I think it's just within the parameter of the 45-55 grading scale. I think it'll come down to which specific grader's hands it happens to land in the day it gets graded.
I'm aware of the perspective distortion from warping causing the borders to not align perfectly with the grid toward the sides of top/bottom; I aligned the grid on the same spots in the middle of the card on each side for best results.
