NIPT testing advice

I’m torn if I want to do NIPT testing. I feel like the anatomy scan can find the majority of physical abnormalities that chromosomal abnormalities have characteristics of. Let me preface this by saying that we want this baby no matter what. I understand quality of life. Again, surely the anatomy scan will tell me if something isn’t compatible with life.

My main concern is false positives, then a whole line of testing and special counseling for nothing to be wrong. I am already a worry wart!

Thank you all for your input! This is our first baby. I’ll be 30 at the time of birth (currently 29) and my husband will be the same with no family history of miscarriage or chromosomal differences.

First beta and progesterone draw question

What was your beta draw at 17DPO? I was roughly 17 DPO and 4+3 with my first draw at 272 and my progesterone 16.5 (already on 200mg of progesterone suppositories). Having my 48hr draw tomorrow at 19DPO and 4+5!

The cycle I tested positive!

Just sharing this here. This is the cycle I tested positive on letrozole 5mg days 4-8, with progesterone suppositories starting 3DPO. I had a STARK WHITE negative on 10DPO and a faint line 11DPO! Not even a squinter, but faint.

11 DPO first pregnancy

Sharing to hopefully help others. This is my first pregnancy, 2nd round of letrozole 5mg with 200 mg progesterone suppositories. My luteal phase is give or take 11 days. My tests were STARK white 10DPO.

Feeling so blessed!

WWYD letrozole and progesterone

Hi all! I am 29 with regular cycles (27-29 days), consistent ovulation between CD15-17 (confirmed by LH and BBT), and my luteal phase is 11 days roughly.

I have the option to do another medicated cycle but want to try progesterone only considering I already ovulate. We have been TTC for 6 months before starting medicated cycles.

Unmedicated 7DPO progesterone: 11.5
Letrozole 2.5mg 7DPO progesterone: 3.9
Letrozole 5mg 6DPO (with 200mg progesterone suppositories): 19

I am 10DPO and currently testing negative but will take suppositories until 14DPO. Would you try the next cycle with progesterone only or do another letrozole cycle?

All cycles UNMONITORED.

Line eyes?? 9 DPO

Got impatient on Mother’s Day and decided to test using SMU. When I first tested, stark white. It’s been maybe an hour and I keep looking at the test (as you do). Do I have line eyes?

Letrozole + progesterone suppositories

Just posting to figure out if it’s best to stop 12DPO or 14DPO with suppositories? My luteal phase is normally 11 days. Obviously if this cycle is successful I’ll continue them.

And just to comment, the easy@home LH strips were never TRULY equally dark. I always got an “almost there” test (highest was .80). With pregmate LH tests, they were obvious and much darker than the control. This cycle, my easy@home was the highest number I’ve ever had!

In the TWW. 29, Normal periods and consistent ovulation, normal SA, 3cm fibroid unlikely to interfere per doc.

I’m on my second round of letrozole (first 2.5, now 5) to superovulate. My doctor suspects slightly insufficient progesterone (luteal phase 11 days). I’m excited for this cycle… I think I feel good about having progesterone support. Looking to chat, advice, anything :-) I started progesterone 3DPO at night.

IF this cycle is unsuccessful, I still have one more cycle before our first appointment with the fertility clinic. Would you try 5mg again or do a natural cycle with progesterone support? I will have left over progesterone. If my test is negative 14DPO, I will stop and wait for my period.

This is my first cycle with 5mg of letrozole. I have noticed my CM hasn’t gotten to an EWCM consistency but it’s clear I’ve ovulated. It started more wet and never got to the stretchy phase. Here I am, 2DPO and still having wet CM. Do I still need to BD? I’m supposed to be starting progesterone 3DPO.

TIA!

Edit to add: without letrozole, I have regular ovulation, normally always have EWCM. Taking letrozole to superovulate per doc rec.

Just commented to say I noticed a huge different in darkness of my ovulation tests on 5mg of letrozole. Does it mean something? Like is the medicine actually working? Attached is my November LH tests (unmedicated) and then my test from today (darkest it’s ever been). My premom tests were always super dark but never easy at home. Just commenting here to chat about it! Also- my peak has consistently been in the morning!!! Like 7am!

Hi all!! I’m currently seeing Dr. Faulkenstrom at Brookwood. I have enjoyed my experience so far but I’m hearing more bad birth experiences from Brookwood the more I talk about it. We are TTC so looking for someone also willing to listen to my concerns. I’m in between switching to Dr. Sarah Dunk at UAB or Dr. Katie Santaro at Grandview.

Thoughts?? Suggestions??
