I've seen so many stories about the OP being accused of one of the examples I've given and the people in them always piss me off. If they, especially your family, believe the "victim" over you without any evidence, trying to get your side or seeing if you even have any alibis , then they always believed you were capable of doing something that horrible and always had that low of an opinion of you.

Two cops arresting a woman for shoplifting, while they were shopping, they were in uniform, so my guess is that they were buying stuff for the station, one cop came out with her in handcuffs and the other came out with a cart full of supplies and groceries, and loaded them both up in their suv, yes some cop cars are suvs in my city.

I found a butt plug on the floor of the mell's restroom. I left it alone, but it was gone later, so either the owner came back for it, or maintenance actually touched it and threw it away.

I've had to fish around under people's trucks to get a stray kitten that had crawled up under there, most of the people that happens to happily take them home, too.

When I was out in the lot at night a woman ran out the emergency exit at the garden center on the side of the store with a cart full of stuff and booked it to the TLE at the back as a black car came speading down to pick her up.

The attempted theft of a rotisserie chicken lead to a cop being physically assaulted, which resulted in multiple cops being called the assaulter being tackled through the sliding door, and multiple arrests.

A women tried to return a clearly used and old children's bike without a receipt or proof of purchase and when told by the employee and customer service that she can't return it, the woman said "It's because I'm white, isn't it?" to which the employee responds "I'm white too."

which got a "Not white enough apparently." in response.

The Walmart I work at is a shithole with poor management, an extremely high turn overrate and the building itself is constantly having problems. The ceiling leaks whenever there's rain and instead of fixing it, management has maintenance put down buckets to catch the water, one of the bays (the area where carts are kept) has ants and rats, both mules are the shitty new model, The Cart Manager Ultra that stalls on every little bump, our parking lot is full of potholes and cracks, the break room has flies the size of the end of my pinkie finger and roaches, and employees get garbage hours which means the ones that are on the clock get overworked and exhausted. The cart pushers especially are overworked, our parking lot is at least a three person lot, and because we have such a high turn over rate, due to employees either being fired or quitting there's usually only one clocked in at a time, making them have to do the work of 3 people and still get bitched at by management. We're also a "second-hand store", meaning whenever a nearby better store gets new stuff like carts, we get their old shit. There's also been so many thefts that it's weird when the cops aren't there. They've even arrested someone while the cops were shopping, I'm guessing buy stuff for the station.
