Racket Rec for new 3.0

I’m a 37M 6’2” and 245lbs. I just picked up a racket for the first time in my life in January. I’m loving this game and playing 2-3 times per week, including lessons and clinics.

I’ve gone from 1.5-2.5 level clinics and went to my first 3.0 clinic last weekend. I brought the 2024 Head Speed MP I bought in May. It’s not a racket I’ve really jived with to be perfectly honest.

This 3.0 humbled me. It is all about technique and refining mechanics. And the Speed MP didn’t help. I found myself late to the ball constantly and launching them.

I weighed my racket when I got home and noticed it’s got a static 11.6oz weight (!!!) and I’ve read this model has a beefy 330 swing weight.

Is that my issue? Should I stick it out? Any lighter weight but still stable alternatives given my current status?

Thanks in advance.

Inheriting 2013 RDX Tech - Anything to know?

My parents recently retired and are abroad for most of the year. They don’t need two cars anymore. My mom’s 2013 Acura is just sitting in their garage with only 55k miles on it.

My current lease is coming to an end and I’ll be driving the car for the foreseeable future. I’m incredibly grateful to not have to deal with the mess of a car market out there right now.

I’m putting on new tires, took it for maintenance and replaced the cabin air filters. Timing belt seems to be okay. Anything else I should know about or check? Or any good adds I should make before I put her to good use?

Anyone know this racket? Any modern comps?

I got this handed down to me by a mutual friend and love it. Restrung it recently with a full bed of Mach 10 and it feels great. Great control and highly responsive, and like the maneuverability and its awesome on volleys.

Anyone know anything about this racket? I’m newer to tennis so I’m also curious if anyone knows any comps for modern rackets?

Thanks!

How long for existing G05 inventory?

I’m in the Los Angeles area. My current lease ends late September. So I can’t snag a G05 until then.

It seems like dealerships have tons of sitting inventory and more allocation on the way (though I saw production has officially stopped).

Think I have a chance to snag one that late?

I’m getting a Toyota. Just need to choose which one

Giving back my leased Tesla in September and ready to buy something to drive for the next decade. Here’s where I’m at:

Toyota 4Runner Limited or Platinum
Toyota Land Cruiser
Lexus GX550 Premium+

They’re all within a margin of each other price wise and maybe not that different on paper. That’s why I’m struggling to choose. For my next car I want something low maintenance, reliable, comfortable, and will hold value.

If anyone wants to make a case for or against one of the above I’d appreciate some insight!

Racket Rec: Something whippy, stable, and controlled

Does it exist?

I’m using a 2024 Speed MP right now and it’s great all around but I find my forehand and even volleys launching. I’m still learning, so technique is a big factor here.

But I wonder for my eventual next racket, is there anything that feels whippy and maneuverable while being controlled and stable?

Worth reserving sight unseen?

Okay maybe not sight unseen but not test driven?

My Tesla Model Y Performance lease last payment is late Sept. Would I be able to secure delivery by then?

I’m in the LA area and there’s no demo drive slots available anywhere. Since it’s only $100 I’m thinking of just reserving, what’s the cancelation policy?

I would prefer to stay EV but want a midsize SUV so this fits the mold

Prospective 40i buyer - any must haves?

I’m set on finally getting into an X5 in the next couple of months after 3 miserable years with a Tesla MYP.

I’ve been doing some builds and I think an sDrive (I live in LA) with premium and park assist is all I need.

But any suggestions on must haves? Any options I shouldn’t miss out on? I’m flexible on MSRP (to a point) and am figuring out the best purchasing plan (lease vs buy).

Any insight would be great, thanks.
