reddit.comGlitches this afternoon - Re: Exact Bid & coupon not working
Neither was a big deal this time, but I never noticed this before over 14 months and hundreds of purchases on WN. Today specifically, I noticed after I made a purchase, on the following auction that the Custom bid button was defaulting to Exact Bid, not Max Bid as usual. I use Max bid (if not regular swipe) at least 99% of the time, almost never use Exact Bid, and I know it isn't the default.
This seems like a glitch. I ended up paying fair market price for an item, but I don't even know if there was a rival bid below mine, and I know similar items went for less in that particular show today. I will not cancel the item since it's a WN problem, nothing the seller did wrong obviously.
Then, in the same show, I had a coupon attached, and it simply did not work. It did not apply or get used up (5 remaining). There was no minimum spend required for the coupon, and I never had this happen (a coupon not apply when conditions were met). It was a reward tier coupon for the channel. It was a low-cost item, and I can use the coupon later, but if it were a higher cost item and I lost $5-10+ because of what seems to be a glitch, that would be a serious kick in the pants. Some channels have coupons of up to $25+, so this could be a real problem if others run into it.
And only this month, as well, I was improperly charged tax on Coins/Bullion listed in the right category in a no-tax-on-those state, which was ultimately fixed, but three prominent "glitches" in rapid succession after basically none for 13 months is concerning.
Gameplay idea: In a government/party change you tag switch, end game, or play a released nation
If you start as a PM of a certain party, or a President, you can either switch tags/end game or continue as Opposition Leader during time out of office. If you are the opposition leader for ten years or more, you will retire and tag switch or end game.
- If you don't want to play as the new Majority/RP original leader in opposition, you could play as a "governor," but you won't be able to return to the original country as leader.
- If you remain "Opposition leader" and an anti-war party comes to power, you must not go to war in most circumstances. You will not play as the monarch in this scenario/change the ruling party if you are playing as the premier. You may choose your starting party once, in 1836, in a monarchy.
- If you are the leader of a prominent colonial Empire, you could play as "governor" of a colonial possession, as a vassal, or not (vassal = greater challenge). E.g., as Britain, if your party loses power, you could serve as a "governor" of India, Bangladesh, Guyana, etc.
- If you continue to "win" for 10-20 years in the home or released country, you could continue as a "protege."
- In a presidential dictatorship, if the country democratizes, either you will tag switch or end game, or you will do so if the incumbent party loses. A former dictator could be elected to a full term if they were exceptionally popular, but I think a former dictator staying in opposition is unlikely.
- If you are playing as a constitutional monarch, you should RP as the party in government, and you may play as a dominion/vassal "in exile" if the home monarchy is overthrown.
My first silver quarter and first 2026 quarters found in circulation
Apologies for abysmal photo quality. Found maybe 10 copper cents, 2x 2025 pennies, some P 2026 quarters and my first ever silver quarter in circulation today from a jar of mixed change I had
What was your biggest surprise or disappointment ordering an "Our choice" bullion piece?
Since much of the time "at spot" offers include a bullion dealer's "our choice" piece/selection, what's the biggest positive surprise or disappointment you got when opening your order? Obviously, weight is weight, though.
For me, I really liked a Gorilla oz. I saw as one of the possible options (although there were many not depicted as options, too, of course), I ended up getting another 1 ozt. Morgan round which I don't really care for. I have been looking at Kilos and would be super pleased to get a Valcambi Kilo or another nice one but there are some example designs that look very sterile, and probably some other nice ones too.
Looking back, I think I actually got Morgan'd twice. :)
One piece I got that I was pleasantly surprised with was the 5 oz. SilverTown Pony bar. I was not familiar with it and saw that I got a significant discount ordering the Our Choice piece vs. ordering it outright.
There are probably other examples, but I can't remember everything.

Heads Up: Make sure to check receipts to avoid tax overcharge
I have bought on Whatnot a lot, and this generally has not been a problem in the past. Today I was charged tax in a no-tax-on-bullion-or-coins state on multiple purchases. I submitted a ticket for this, and the category of the items was listed as Coins and Bullion.
It doesn't make sense to me why or how this could happen since it's not like the seller made a mistake with the category. Keep an eye on your bill for this reason.
Is this the most caloric/most expensive combo you can make?
Can you make a "better" one?
Propaganda ad for data centers being shown now apparently
I got an ad from https://northcarolinaconnects.com/ on YouTube today in NC. Despite all the other negative effects of data centers, the crux of the ad they showed was that they pay for their own electricity. That's it? Their website claims they focus on being "good neighbors" and "sustainability."
Some of the ads are available on the Videos tab of their site for review if wanted.

How do I make a purchase on Eastern Wealth Spins?
I can't figure out how to make a purchase in this game. I downloaded it and have been doing spins but I clicked on seemingly every button and menu available and can't figure out how to try to do Cumulative Purchase - $19.99. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you.
Mail's here!
Finally think I came close to giving these GBs justice in a photo! It's something small, but it adds up over time.
My biggest purchase yet :)
I got these a few weeks ago! It's not a lot but it's mine. My camera doesn't do it justice but the sun hitting the reverse is 🔥🔥 especially since the reverse looks pure gold.
