The Closure of Bank is Yet Another Reason why Winds and Waves NEED to be On the Cartridge:

I've gotten flack for saying it on other Subs, but I still believe it bears repeating.

Bank Closing shows that these digital exclusive games are contingent on how long the company providing them believes is necessary.

Eventually, the Switch 2 eShop will go down, and Key Cards won't work to download games anymore.

If Winds and Waves are a Key Card like Pokopia was, we will be looking at a Generation of Pokemon that will become abandonware once Switch 2 servers go down.

I don't think we want to open that Pandora's box, and I know while Nintendo promised none of their main games will be Key Cards, Game Freak might go rogue with it.

Mitsuru and Haru out here with Trillionaire C.E.O fathers while Yosuke's dad is the Regional Manager of a Target.

Before anyone brings her up, Naoto's parents died before the game started, so she doesn't count.

Once again, Outbuddied by the Main Sub.

Half the comments are people acknowledging this fact, so the main sub is learning at least.

I hate how "Gate" is an arbitrary suffix added onto every controversy.

I get that Watergate was a big deal, but seriously.

Watergate was the name of the Hotel they were at, nothing more. Adding "Gate" to the end of your controversy name doesn't make it any more scathing, it just makes you look like a a clout chaser riding a high from a fifty year old scandal.

It'd be different if the cases were about the same thing (government spying) but NONE OF THESE CASES ARE.

You've got shit like People coping over Stranger Things having a Dogshit ending as "ConformityGate" or people calling the Will Smith/Chris Rock slap as "SlapGate."

These cases have absolutely NOTHING to do with Watergate, and yet people are so pickled they just tack the suffix onto everything.

Adding A Rep to Every Original Nintendo Game Released Since the Switch 2 Launched:

Title is self explanatory. A few ground rules I followed were:

- Both Switch 1 and Switch 2 games are counted.

- No Switch 2 upgrade packs, just newly released games.

- No Remakes/Rereleases. This removes the following games from the list: Mario Galaxy 1+2, Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green, Star Fox 2026, and Ocarina of Time 2026.

I'll explain any pick in more specifics in the comments.

Hot Take: If Smash 6 truly is a Reboot that has to scale back the roster a lot, I think only one of these three make the cut.

I just don't think these three hold the relevance they once did, and I'd even be arguing Fox to be in this boat if not for the Remake/Galaxy Movie.

Who is your vote if that comes to pass?

Rules:

- No skipping ahead. Keep picks to the company currently in discussion.

- Must be characters who originated in Games (No Goku, Spider-Man, etc. Keep this serious, guys.)

- No trying to double dip series (Example: Sony owns a Stake in Bandai Namco, so don't try and force in a Second Namco character via the Sony slot.)
