Im kind of new to league football in general, but as I understand it, money is a huge part and they've scammed through money restrictions to ultimately win the league, seems like fans are trying to spin this into some sort of "revenge against financially big teams" but rules are rules right, why shouldn't all those titles be removed and why are the runners up too proud to count those as wins?

Why do I see footballers play like 3-5 times more games than the average cricketer? Cricket has 3 formats fir bhi even after combining all 3 you get less playtime than a regular in literally any level of most top sports.

Dude nowadays I literally don't even know when's the next game since they're so spaced out in internationals, and unlike football, international friendlies are where most of cricket is at.

Do we need leagues to expand for longer? A duration of 5-6 months, more games, but more spaced out than the current ipl model aswell to compensate for it, atleast for the t20 format, this is something which is a no brainer, we get a max to max 5 match series in a whole month, what's happening for the other 3 weeks?

Domestic circuit just does not have the same appeal.

Cricket dies a slow death like this. I want more, but the current scene is just so money hungry and not about the sport at all.

I cant believe its been a year, its a bittersweet feeling, you always try to avoid social media you know, these reddit achievements, make me feel I'm going the opposite way, but this one is not engagement based is it

I had an account before aswell so I always assumed its not been long with this one, and suddenly its a year? I've used Reddit a kind of a weird point in my life, its helpful for virtually anything, its community, its stupid, stupid arguments, a huge waste of time, but it has had its moments, and its too damn addictive

I've been kind of addicted to the WC at the moment and man did I forget how much the viewer experience differs, if we compare t20s that last for 3-4 hours to an average football match;

we get ads every single over, every single wicket, which is the most stupid time for an ad since they'll still keep the ads on the next over again and it'll be like a little bit of cricket in your bowl of ads,

and then we come to the breaks, some of the wc broadcasters in other countries do not even show ads in hydration breaks (2 of them per half, 3 minutes) and even the halftime is mostly discussion on the actual game going on,

while if we come to cricket, shit like the ceat strategic timeout is made exactly for an ad break, since even if a team doesn't take one, its automatically imposed in its last available over.

And then, worse of all, physical ads on the cricket grounds in the field of play, alright sure, but now they've started to add digitally more of them, as seen in the Sony LIV coverages, and thats absolute disregard for the game, we have ads bigger than our country's names on bilateral jerseys, its like how much money could you actually need, they take this audience for cricket for granted and do not respect the game or the audience at all.

Now I know nothing will ever change about this but I just had to say it, I do not know the economics behind it, but like imagine Messi just scored a goal and they started ads because players would be celebrating for atleast a minute, that's what happens per wicket in cricket.

This has discouraged me from watching int cricket entirely, and I do not know why people are so okay with it, name me any other sport with more ads than cricket.

1.45B people, since my whole life I've seen people play football in schools and colleges, and we can't get into a WC with 50 countries, sucks that other countries celebrate these few weeks for years but for us its celebrating others, India's football scene needs to be extensively studied, how is this even possible, we have never had the worst football culture man how the fuck does this happen.

Anyways yeah just a rant came back to this sub after that loss/tie idk against fking Afghanistan, delete if you want but yeah thankfully the WC is at night so it'll be less bitter.
