Beginner web developer from Pakistan — can I realistically make $5–$10/month on Fiverr?

I'm a university student from Pakistan and I'm trying to get my **first freelance client** and earn around **PKR 5,000–10,000**. I'm not aiming for a big income yet; I mainly want real experience and my first successful client.

My current skills are mainly:

* HTML
* CSS
* JavaScript
* Basic responsive design
* Git/GitHub

I've completed my first proper project, a small travel website, and I've also done an **internship at ISPR**, where I was exposed to web development.

I'm considering Fiverr and offering **HTML/CSS/JavaScript bug fixing and small website customizations**—things like responsive issues, layout fixes, broken buttons/links, and simple JavaScript bugs.

The problem is Fiverr's package pricing. Some options are forcing minimum prices of **$15 or even $30**, while I've seen similar beginner-level gigs priced much lower.

For those who have experience freelancing:

* Is this a realistic service for my current skill level?
* How should I define my scope so I don't accept work beyond my ability?
* Is Fiverr a good place to get that **first client**, or should I try something else?
* What would you recommend I do to get my first **PKR 5k–10k** client?

I'm not looking for quick riches. I just want to **get my first real client and start building experience**.

Beginner web developer from Pakistan — can I realistically make $5–$10/month on Fiverr (Gig) ?

Title: Beginner web developer from Pakistan — can I realistically make $5–$10/month on Fiverr?

I'm a university student from Pakistan and I'm trying to earn a small amount of money online, mainly to gain experience and confidence—not to make a huge income right now.

My current skills are basically:

  • HTML
  • CSS
  • JavaScript
  • Basic responsive design
  • Git/GitHub

I've recently completed my first proper project, a small travel website at internship and I'm now thinking about trying Fiverr.

I was looking at offering HTML/CSS/JavaScript bug fixes and small website customizations, such as fixing layouts, responsive issues, buttons, links, or simple JavaScript bugs.

The problem is Fiverr's pricing. Some of the package options I'm seeing have minimum prices of $15 or even $30, while I've seen similar beginner-level gigs priced much lower.

I'm wondering:

  • Is this type of service realistic for someone at my skill level?
  • Is Fiverr worth trying for such small jobs?
  • How should I define the scope so I don't accept something beyond my ability?
  • Are there better ways/platforms for a beginner in Pakistan to make their first $5–$10 online?

I'd really appreciate honest advice from people who have experience with freelancing or started from a similar position.

Can I migrate from NUML BS Computer Engineering to NUST?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently a BS Computer Engineering student at NUML Islamabad and have recently completed my 2nd semester. I've been thinking about transferring to NUST (SEECS) Computer Engineering and wanted to know if anyone has successfully done this.

I have a few questions:

  • Is migration from NUML to NUST possible?
  • If yes, what are the eligibility requirements and minimum CGPA?
  • Does NUST accept transfer students for Computer Engineering, or would I have to appear in the NET and start from the 1st semester?
  • Has anyone here gone through this process or knows someone who has?

Also, what aggregate is usually required for BS Computer Engineering at NUST these days?

I'd really appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thanks!

2nd Semester BSCE Student: How Do I Get My First Internship With Almost No Software Skills? (Pakistan)

I am 19M Computer Engineer (BSCE) student from NUML. I have summer vacations coming up and basically I want to earn money (not big bucks, just for my pocket money) and to do internships in software (paid or non paid,both).

The problem is that I have no software skills other than languages (C++,OOP) and basic computers skills.

What should I put into CV ? From where should I make it ? Claude or Canva ? How should I use LinkedIn in this case ? When should I start CV dropping ?

I know they are basic questions but please don’t be harsh on me.

Thanks
