I live in a semi-detached house.

Tonight, my neighbour messaged me around bedtime asking if I had something loud on because they could hear a "really loud bass noise" and were trying to sleep.

For context, it’s new built house and we both kinda moved in around 2 years ago. So my TV is downstairs, and their bedroom is upstairs. The only other time they mentioned noise was right when we first moved in. Since then, I rarely watched TV downstairs because I mostly used the one in my bedroom. I've only recently started watching in the downstairs hall again, and immediately they're complaining about it.

I was really watching a movie at a totally normal, volume. The issue is that movies naturally have sudden loud action scenes or bass spikes, but if I keep turning the volume down and up the whole time, I can't hear the dialogue. It wasn't blasting at all.
My worry is that if I just apologize and roll over, they're going to message me every single time a movie has a loud bit, even though we live in a semi-detached house where some sound transfer is normal, and it feels like they are being overly sensitive to normal living noise downstairs.
How should I reply to them tonight, and how do I gently set a boundary so they know I'm not being loud, and don’t want them pinging me every time.

I understand this question might have come up but need an advice for my situation.

I’m almost 28 now, I currently have around 18k in pension, I initially thought of opting out but after reading out various experiences of people I decided to stay in(hope I’m right on this)

And I was not aware I had such an option until recently that I can change the risk status of my pension money, would it be better to switch to high now and change to medium/ low later?(if so what age )

Also I have to say I might leave UK to my home country, not now but most probably by my retirement age for sure, considering this situation too what’s my ideal move?

If anyone can guide on this, would be really helpful to understand my options.

I was looking at few options and recommendations and I narrowed it to Arcsaber 7 tour and li-ning halbertec 6000.

I play long shots sometimes and front occasionally, and wanted something less heavy on my shoulder and yet powerful enough to hit across.

Please suggest me if these are any good, or should I look into any other specific model?

Yes,once they were close to the 166 mark they should have put some fight and they kind of did but it didn’t work out that much as they expected it to be, may be some more intent from Ra Pa would’ve been good but apart from that they did everything right.

You guys are the ones who would cry if they went hard and lost top 2 position, now they got that you’re crying about some other thing.

Just imagine this after all the hard fight through the tournament to get there your goal is to play finals and get the cup, not win a single match. If losing doesn’t affect you, you’ve to do that and that was an easy win by loosing abs not taking the risk.

Because of that we are in top 2 infact number 1. Just look how positive this can be on another perspective.

It’s heavily raining in Dharamshala and there’s no reserve day for play offs. If the game gets washed out it’d be RCB who reaches finals. Even if something could have gone wrong yesterday and had lost the top 1 position, just imagine how worse it’d have been.

Think these scenarios and that was the best case we had.

This is extremely unfair and matches like this (GT vs CSK) keeps proving that final is in Ahmedabad and If GT comes to final they have a lot of benefit there than anyone, instead of RCB whom the home ground should be for. Really hope they don’t come to final.

I’m looking for a job for my wife. She’s got engineering degree in Computers but has got no experience in that field. Just to get into some job she got a customer service related role ( not exactly CS, but similar to that and not tech at all)

But she has good knowledge on the coding and stuff, and also I’m in the same field ( data science) , so we’re thought if she could switch to such role I can be of help if she needs support.

I mean we tried applying few jobs but haven’t got any response. Even if not exactly the coding and tech related role, we want some sort of role related to that.

How do we get started? I know the market Is not so great right now, but is it worth trying now or not? Especially her job is fully remote , I don’t think it’d be possible to get s remote job. Anyways we’re lost, any suggestions on how to proceed if we want to try for such a job?

I work for a MNC and got my sponsorship with them in 2022 July, I’d have been eligible for ILR next year if everything was same, but that’s not the case now. My salary is £45k ans I tried to speak to my company but as it’s an MNC there’s no clear person to speak to about it and the managers above me are just employees like me as well so they couldn’t do much other than asking me to contact relevant team.

So after some tries in contacting the teams relevant to this, I’m not sure If they’ll up the salary to meet the new threshold for ILR. I am having thoughts of switching companies if someone sponsors but looking at the market I’m very doubtful I’ll get one.

Is it worth trying to switch job or I’d rather stay and try with my current company ?
