I feel like a fool

Salaam, I am looking for female perspective to my situation. For context I am new to Islam but its the truth in my heart (which makes me Muslim?).

I made a friend online, who turned out to be a muslim man. Now, he helped me a lot during a difficult time and I came to open up to him very deeply, so naturally, I fell in love with this man. We connected on a very deep level.

He has never promised me anything BUT has been slightly flirty and also we talk about topics which in Islam I think would not be permissible to talk with a FEMALE friend. Also bc of my background maybe and he is somewhat secular but practising.

He never got to know me for romantic purposes but has said he likes me and obviously cares a lot. Now where I feel like a fool is that, we have known each other for 8months and talk on the phone EVERYDAY more or less. I visited him, he hugged me. He kept his distance but toward the end of my trip he held my hand, touched my ear, kissed me on my forehead. These are all very romantic gestures right? And I act like a gf / wife always talking to him, giving support and when visiting I do his laundry and help him clean and massage his shoulders.

BUT this man won’t commit to me. He wont move towards marriage. He says its not about me he has his own issues is not ready etc etc but wont tell me what those issues are. I am so frustrated and I feel like a fool as a woman that I let this happen to myself. That I act like a wife without a ring. I guess Im just looking for support.

I love him but I cant be a ”gf” anymore without the actual commitment. also for my bday he got me roses KNOWING I love him, but that they dont mean what roses mean. Im so frustrated, sad and heartbroken.

Love dressing modestly!

Salaam everyone, absolutely love dressing modestly, started recently. It makes me feel so much more feminine and elegant but also comfortable.

I need to find more undershirts that are not too hot!! Are light colors like this okay? I have a few abaya style dresses like this that are very light colored.

Nice sunday to everyone!❤️

Help with starting praying

Assalamu alaykum,

I am new to Islam but feel its right in my heart and I want to embrace this beautiful religion. However I really struggle to establish and learn the prayers. Fellow reverts, how did you start learning? Any tips?
For context I struggle with depression so starting tasks is already difficult for me and I feel overwhelmed.

Jazakallal khairan.

How do I know converting is right for me?

I wanted to get some perspectives about converting/reverting. I would like to hear others stories too, I wonder how do I know converting is right for me?
I have been getting to know Islam slowly and found it very beautiful and refreshing. For context I used to be a devout Christian when I was younger, and found myself praying again this year because of difficult times.
I’ve noticed that in my heart I feel it’s right and true (Islam). But I’ve found the prayers and other stuff I’d need to do as difficult to learn, it feels like a lot and I feel so overwhelmed. So I’m taking my time but I wonder how could I know it’s right for me? Maybe important to note, I struggle with executive dysfunction which makes completing tasks difficult.
One day I asked God for a sign and the next day I found a pendant on the ground with a Quran verse on it, which was Ayatul Al Kursi. I feel that God answered my prayer. So why do I still have doubts?
I have started to make changes in my life because I just feel that they are right, such as dressing modestly and quitting alcohol completely. But prayers, washing and halal diet feel more difficult changes. I notice myself thinking I am sinning when I eat non halal meat for example.
How do I slowly ease into it?
I guess what I’m worried about is that I am just jumping on another thing since in the past I have been excited about a certain lifestyle change or identity and then moved on from it.
Thank you for reading.

28F #Europe #Everywhere Looking for my protector

Looking for a daddy/protector type of man for ultimately a serious relationship and marriage. My dream come true would be to be a housewife, or work part-time and dedicate time for homely activities. I am a sweet, kind, funny and unique kind of girl. Looking for someone open minded, caring and reflective. Age does not matter exactly but I am comfortable with 29-45 range.

I’m into a strong masculine, leader kind of man, who is compassionate and emotionally intelligent. My personality is quite submissive, mellow, aiming to please and I do consider myself playful and funny. I like to laugh and have fun and also have deep and serious conversations. I am shy and introverted, so it takes me time to warm up. I am somewhat religious (I pray to God), but not identifying with any specific religion at this moment.

I am 174 cm and about 75 kg, gym regularly and I would describe my body as athletic looking. I have a lot of tattoos, this might be a deal breaker and that is ok. Not looking to take any more though. Green/blue eyes and brown hair, my ethnicity is white. My style is minimalistic, modest, feminine and practical. I do not like to show-off. I wear make-up. I never wear high-heels and don’t intend to. I do not want to appeal to other men, only to your eyes.

I am not picky lookwise but I want to feel mutual attraction. My physical type is ”dad bod”, darker features & skin, facial hair, but I am open to all. Height is not important to me. I want someone that can see the beauty in my sensitive, kind, loving soul. And I want the see the beauty in you, too.

My hobbies include gym, walks, swimming, cycling, reading, music, movies, knitting, cooking, baking, sewing, painting. Into scifi and philosophy.

I was us to eventually meet but we can get to know each other online.
I am a work in progress and actively working on myself. I have gone through some tough things (haven’t we all?) so I need someone patient and kind. We can discuss this further. If you are looking for perfection, I am not your woman.

In relationships I’m very clingy and loving. My love languages are acts of service, physical touch and words of appreciation. I will listen to you, respect you, and want to make you happy. I want to trust in your direction and feel safe in it, while making you feel loved and appreciated as a man.

Looking to build a connection slowly and not into rushing anything. Message me if this resonated with you, or if you’d like to just talk. Thank you.

Found a pendant - what does it say

Hello, I found this pendant today on the ground outside after asking God for an omen. I am wondering what does it say. For context I am curious of Islam but not a Muslim yet.

Seriously interested in a man - looking for insight

Hello all,

I hope I can post here as I am in the process of converting to Islam but yet to take my Shahada. My best friend is a Muslim man and yes it is propably unusual to have such a deep friendship between a man and a woman in Islam. I’d describe him as somewhat progressive. For context we talk on the phone most days.

Now, I am interested in him with serious intent to marry. I love this man from the bottom of my heart because he is a beautiful soul, amazing person. I would do anything for him. He knows how I feel but is not ready for a relationship/marriage. I do know we want same things as far as family goes, type of marriage, values etc. He is older than me (I am in my 30s), so I am a little bit confused by not wanting to settle down or feeling ready for it. Also my own age gives me anxiety because I really want to have a family and the biological clock is ticking. To add, I have met his family as his friend, and they all know I exist, if that matters.

So, I am looking for some insight, especially since I am not raised Muslim. I am not in a rush to get married but I do wonder if I should wait or move on at some point. Right now I cannot imagine being with anyone else. I try to trust Allah’s plan for me, but I can’t help but pray we would end up together.
Of course no one here can know what will happen, but I would like to get some support in this situation as it is weighing on my mind.

Currently I am trying to work on myself and my own issues, and also I am not converting for this man but I was introduced to Islam through him, which I am grateful of.

In love with my best friend

I (29F) am hopelessly in love with my best friend (39M). We met online and have been super close friends for a while now, met in person once. He has some feelings for me but is not ready for a relationship. But also is saying how it could/might happen in the future (u never know what happens, go with the flow type shit). I don’t know what to do - it’s not like I’m getting any younger and I want to have a family someday (which needs to be kind of soon bc I’m almost 30). I just can’t imagine loving anyone else. I met my soulmate and he does not want to be with me, that breaks my heart. Do I move on? Wait? Help.

Tldr; I am in love with my best friend who I envision a future with and he does not feel ready but also isn’t saying it could never happen, so I feel stuck.

Am I welcome

Hello!
I hope I can write here as I am not Muslim, but I have been considering to reverting to Islam. But I feel unsure if I’m welcome because I have failed God in so many ways and I have deep selfhatred and I don’t know if what I have done can be forgiven…
For context I am european from loosely Christian family, identifying as Agnostic for long time. I have gone through many battles with myself and hurt my body in so many ways. Lived in horrible sin, my life is not in order at all I have financial issues, I lack control and my body that God created I’ve done terrible things to it (plastic surgery gone wrong, tattoos, cutting). I feel like I have betrayed God. I guess what I’m looking for is some advice… I never knew anything about Islam before but I met a Muslim person and what I learned made me interested and it’s a beautiful religion. But I don’t know if I deserve it and even how to go about reverting. Any viewpoints are greatly appreciated.
