I have a bay window. I stripped the window platform because it had damage from a potted plant. It got too cold to refinish so it’s been sitting unfinished for a few months.

I’ve noticed black spots near the actual window appear. I believe it could be mold?

1. Is it mold?
2. Can I fix it?
3. How do I fix it?
