Hi everyone I bought a MacBook so my marine salvage company. I’ve owned the computer for only a week

I’m having some issues with the body. For starters, when I pick the computer up for the first time in a while it will make this clicking sound. Another thing is if I pick up the computer and light shake it from side to side(not heavy) I hear a distinct rattle from inside the case

Does this warrant taking the computer back to Apple? Well over a 5 thousand dollar computer and my brothers 14in MacBook does the rattle thing to a much lower degree but mine does this click thing. I feel like the build quality should be sturdier. First Apple product besides iPhone so I don’t really know who to call to get this addressed.

Recently bought a house with woods in the back in MA. Looks like it’s been sitting here a while. Previous owner I guess put it there and forgot about it. Anything here worth trying to revive.

GM 4.3L short block V8(6*)

Doing an install of a new seat motor on a Silverado, and the left seat track didn’t move took out the cable and found ^this^. Obviously the cable doesn’t have enough grip on the worm gear to turn the seat. Bench testing with a known good cable, the seat moves.

GM is frustrating me with this. I had to buy a third party motor and I can’t even buy a 3rd party version of these little cables. GM classifies the entire track and motor assembly as one part and GM will gladly sell me a new one for $800.

Something I’d expect in a post 2020 car, not a 2013. What can I do? Is it just the old speedometer cable from back in the day?

Today I watched my 944 1983 NA 3 speed AUTOMATIC get cubed today. I’ve been dealing with cascading failures, most notably the rear brake calipers exploded. I couldn’t find any reasonable solution(no good used units, remanufactuing requires a unit to be remanned and FCP euro has an upgrade kit for 1200 bucks and probably a 2 month lead time that probably wouldn’t work because not enough hydraulic gets back there. In an act of frustration I pulled my attic door and the ladder came creaming down and smashed the front bumper and shattered the windshield, then I punched the windshield a couple more times for good measure and removed my listing from FB. Nobody was interested for 2800. Couple tire kickers. So I called a junkyard on Saturday, they gave me $350 for it and I asked them to give me a call before they cube it, they graciously waited for me to get there and watched her get combined with another car.

This was a project I wasn’t exactly prepared for when I bought it at the estate sale and I’m of course not happy with the outcome but I just wanted to thank the vast amount of community members out there for this particular car. Everyone’s been honest, kind and helpful throughout this 10 months of owning the car. Thank you guys I really appreciate it

If I hadn’t bought a new mustang, I would’ve just driven it till the wheels fell off but because of the new car I had to get rid of it one way or another.

Last year I attended an estate sale, under a cover was a Porsche 1983 year model 944. I was the only bidder(because of the weather) and bought the car for one dollar. I poured so much money into the vehicle and I still can’t get the car to run right. Basically it just can’t idle for long periods. It’ll drive but idling it starts to stutter and revs start dipping

Most 944s are manual and rightfully so as the MT is a full 5-6 seconds faster than the slushbox. So how much money can I get for this thing, being an automatic, 36k on the odo, a slew of new parts but some mechanical issues.

I have nothing against automatics, hell I can’t even drive a manual. But I just bought a new automatic mustang so I don’t really want the Porsche anymore. I was hoping to get 5k for it just to recoup
