It’s such a shame we never got the sequel. I feel like Dawnwalker takes some inspiration from it here and there. I’m hoping somebody eventually mods the armour into the game!

These were comments underneath a post about the new Emma Frost casting. Why do people like this have to exist?

Uglification of characters is a big topic in this sub and many others, and I’ve seen loads of people calling the new Cortana ugly. And usually I would agree with things like this, as I hate uglification in games and media in general but… I really don’t see it here? She looks great to me, I mean obviously nowhere near on Halo 4 Cortana’s level but still. I really don’t get it in this case.

However Lieutenant Williams in the bonus missions is pretty ugly tbh.

Overall though I’ve really enjoyed my time with the Halo remake.

Not sure what I was expecting to be honest. I didn’t even word it in a remotely sexist way.

I really think Evil Dead Wrath should have a male hero. Just to mix things up after 3 women in a row.

I think we all agree that the main problem with the series was the writing, but I think that makes us overlook a lot of the things the show actually did really well.

The props, CGI and set design were all excellent and incredibly faithful to the games. Master Chief and the other Spartan’s armor sets were literally perfect, as well as the weapons of the UNSC and the Covenant. I’m personally a huge fan of how the Elites and other Covenant species looked in the show, they had some of the grit of the later Bungie games. I only wish we could see how the Flood would end up being portrayed in their full form.

The action sequences were also excellent in my opinion, and were worthy of the big screen in all honesty.

A lot of the casting was great too, especially with the Spartans themselves. I think Pablo Schreiber is an excellent choice for Master Chief and with different writing could absolutely shine as the character. Some of the casting was odd admittedly, like with how they cast an actor who would’ve been perfect for Johnson but cast him as Jacob Keyes.

I honestly don’t think the show was beyond saving, and I believe with new writers and a course-correction it could actually be awesome. There are rumours going around that season 3 may be on the cards after all, so I’m hopeful. What do you think?

For those of you that don’t know, Wendigoon covered the murder of Tristan Brübach at the end of his unsolved true crime iceberg a few years ago.

Warning ⚠️ disturbing content.

If you’re unfamiliar with this case, in Frankfurt, Germany a 13 year old boy named Tristan was brutally murdered in a public park at 3pm, in a tunnel frequented by lots of people as a shortcut. The murder was incredibly disturbing, involving the castration of Tristan, the removal of flesh from his buttocks and near-decapitation.
The case has remained unsolved for 28 years, with Tristan’s family never finding closure on the killer.

The reasons I think Wendigoon should tackle this case again include:

1. The 30th anniversary of the murder will be on the 26th of March 2028. Covering this case again now that he’s more popular will have more eyes on it, and perhaps contribute to the killer finally being identified.
2. A lot of the details in his video are completely incorrect and I’m not sure where he got them from, namely that arms coming through metal bars were carving up his body. And I also don’t think he mentioned that there was a composite sketch of the killer.
3. Tristan needs to be remembered, and his killer is still walking free. Tristan’s single father died in 2014, a man who suffered the suicide of his wife and the brutal murder of his only son and never knew who took his son’s life.
4. I believe Tristan’s case deserves to have an entire video dedicated to it, rather than a short segment at the end of an iceberg lots of people probably used to sleep.
