Who do you think was the most wasted potential character in Tokyo Revengers?

I've seen a lot of different opinions on this, so I'm curious what everyone thinks

Which character in the series had the most wasted potential and why?

For me, wasted potential doesn't necessarily mean a bad character

I mean a character who had a lot of buildup, interesting traits, connections, or story possibilities but wasn't used as much as they could have been

I've seen people mention Hanma, Senju, Baji, Izana, Taiju, and even some of the Black Dragons members

Who would you pick and what would you have changed about their role in the story?

Ykw, who was more at fault for this incident? (Anime onlys should avoid this)

I've seen people place the blame entirely on Senju, Mikey, Takeomi, and even Shinichiro for what happened

I'm curious to hear everyone's thoughts: if you had to rank who was most responsible to least responsible, how would you order them and why?

I'd appreciate it if you could explain your reasoning for each placement rather than just giving a list

Also, if there's another character you think shares some responsibility that I didn't mention, feel free to include them and just explain your reasoning for it

Let's keep the discussion respectful and avoid turning it into a character bashing thread🥹

I'm genuinely interested in seeing different perspectives on this since the fandom was quite conflicted about it when the chapter first dropped and plus, we might see this in season 4 potentially, around the end or we might not but its fine regardless

How did we lowkey not notice

I mean maybe people did notice it in s1 like Annie's during their first watch, I PERSONALLY DIDNT notice them both the first time

Giving it a rewatch does make me go crazy about how I never noticed it though, like Annie's one is obvious I guess

And now that I think about it

Reiner was as well(btw I mean like the face structure of the titan being similar to the human like with Annie's some people could tell it was her immediately)

Did any of you guys notice his one during your first watch of aot? I never noticed Annie's or Reiners personally during my first ever watch

Bertholdt was kinda similar too but not to the point it was like, OBVIOUS

Over the csm movie is genuinely insane tho

Genuinely

I've seen both movies

But are we genuinely deadass

I guess I shouldn't be surprised anymore

This whole award stuff is basically a popularity contest anyway dude🥹

Would Annie be able to use the war hammer titan well?

Lets just put this as a hypothetical scenario to where she was just able to inherit it instead of the female titan since obviously this titan can only be inherited by those within the Tybur family

Would she use it well?

I think she would

Imo, the war hammer titan is one of the most technical titans so basically, it's strongest when the user thinks creatively and strategically

Annie usually stays calm in combat, she analyses opponents, rarely makes unnecessary movements to not waste stamina and her adaptability mid fight is really good

So, her mind set essentially fits well for the titan

Her martial art skills would combine really well with the weapon creation aspect too

Annie is just arguably one of the best fighters in the series when it comes to hand to hand combat

She would probably use the weapon creation aspect to her advantage really well while using them with actual combat techniques

Another thing

The war hammer titans abilities are HEAVILY based around hardening

And guess what

Shes one of the best users when it comes to this as well

•crystal hardening

•hardened fists and feet

•defensive armour

•offensive strikes

She basically already has shown insane feats with hardening even without having this titan, so if she had it

Imagine the stuff she'd do

One weakness of the war hammer titan would be stamina I guess

Annie would probably avoid any sort of unnecessary movement/destruction well to get around that oh and another thing

The war hammer titan is really good when it comes to crowd control, and what I mean by that is fighting multiple enemies

Annie with the female titan was already very good at this

She has strong awareness and shes just able to fight well despite being surrounded well

Whats your thoughts on this?

This is kinda sad icl

Making a post about this on a subreddit where all the yuta fans are just so he'd stay in is genuinely just sad

I agree it's a controversial matchup but wtf guys😭😭😭

Okay, so at the bare minimum he should be on Gojos level just with statements from og jjk

Infact, in season 1, Gojo stated Hakari, Yuji and Yuta had the potential to be Jujutsu sorcerers that would be on par with him

In his very first year he already learnt rct and it wasn't just the version where he could heal himself, he could also heal OTHERS, which mind you is extremely rare even across rct users

Gojo can't do it

Shoko, Sukuna and Yuta are the only ones who could do it if I recall correctly

And in his second year, we see that he also has a domain expansion

His copy CT did get nerfed due to the jjk 0 stuff but he can still work with it even with the 5 min timer and just the general limitations to his copy ability

And in modulo, with Tsurugi we see that he can merge with Rika, meaning Yuta would be able to do that as well AND he now also has ssk in his arsenal too

Would you guys say he surpassed Gojo?

For me, that's probably not the case but I'd say he definitely would be on Gojos level imo

And uh, would you guys count him towards the "calamity" grades?

The majority only has like, Sukuna, Gojo, Dabura and Modulo Yuji

Technically Yuta should be counting to this too but it's okay I guess

Who do y'all got winning between these 2?

I think when it comes to literal feats like most of us can acknowledge that Yoru is far superior to Makima but I do see people say Makima would just outhax Yoru and what not

I don't exactly see that happening tbh, well she probably could with prep time BUT without it I don't really see it happening

Yoru basically has the superior physical stats AND also has a similar contract to Makima, with the wording slightly different

Ig self inflicted damage(if I recall correctly) won't work with Yoru

And for Makima it's just attacks that basically don't count as an attack right or whatever

I'm just going off memory here but their contracts are similar

What's your take about this?

I got Yoru winning, Makima winning with prep time

If you guys do have Makima winning without prep, do let me know why I'm curious
