The ocean scares the shit out of me. Which might explain why I keep writing adventures for nautical RPGs. And here comes a new Panic Engine games designed for that very purpose: Dreadnauts. We talked about what makes Nautical Horror different, adapting Mothership's Panic Engine to the Age of Sail, how he treats ships as characters, or his way of structuring adventures for this kind of horror. News from our friend Thomas Zitzkevitz! As with @Ravaged by Storms last year, he has created soundtracks for our adventures The Way of the Worm and The Scarlet Coral Citadel, releasing on September 25th. Pre-orders for his Bandcamp are up now, and they'll be out on streaming and everywhere else next month, too.
Haven't been blogging much lately, but today I looked at something I noticed with at least some of my players: Although we love the idea of open sandboxes, sometimes players get stuck on that freedom. So, I think about that and share my ramblings on how to overcome this issue, also pointing about five modules that I think did very well in what I recommend here. Enjoy and let me know what you think
