The new Intro
Not a discussion about the episodes, but just the intro, I was very disappointed in how generic/lame it looked. They basically just used transition photos.
Considering how iconic the original intro is, with every character walking through different stages of their lives/whatever they went through that season in the intro, I thought they'd be more creative.
A Different World - The Sitcom that got Too real
I came across this video on Youtube, really well done
Will Smith and Tyra Bank reenacting their famous "Damn" scene (2020)
Freshman cast of A Different World giving Jasmine Guy her flowers
Amazon and Philto TV editing out scenes of the Cosby Show (Season 6 Episode 3 - I'm In the In Crowd)
I was watching this episode on Amazon Prime and realized a scene I remember was missing. Instead of Denise bringing Vanessa to the stoop, they just show the part where she brings her through the backdoor. I looked around and found this scene in its original format. This isn't the first time I noticed these platforms editing episodes. Why is that? Do they just have copies that were cutdown by the network for time?
When Phylicia Rashad was on the TV Show Blossom (1991)
Lisa Bonet and Malcolm-Jamal Warner hosting NBC's "Friday Night Music Videos" in 1987
Tatyana Ali and Alfonso Ribeiro are reuniting on the 35th Season of Dancing With the Stars 9/15
I was today's years old when I found out the guy who played Quincy is Debbie Allen and Phylicia Rashad's brother
Alfonso Ribeiro, Tatyana Ali, Candace Cameron and Darius McCrary in the NBC movie “Kidz in the Wood” (1996)
If you could make 1 change to the show, what would it be?
Whether it's a storyline, a character change, a relationship, etc...
Lisa Bonet would've stayed on the show, with the new dynamic of Debbie Allen running things. As boring as the first season was, I feel like that wasn't really all Lisa's fault. It was the writers. Debbie could've gotten so many great storylines out of Denise's character.
I would've loved to see her interact with the new cast members that came on later.
Paige Hurd has been wearing her Godfather DMX's photo on her chain since he has passed
What's a fun fact about either a cast member or the show that most people don't know
I'll start:
Karyn Parsons (Hilary) had already been married and divorced by time the show debuted. She was married to Randy Brooks who played Detective Jim Holdaway on Reservoir Dogs from 1987-1990.
Baseball America Ranks the Cardinals as 2nd best Farm System in the MLB
How big a shock was it to see Kim Fields go from Tootie on Facts of Life to Regine on Living Single?
She barely did anything in between the two shows to really show her in a different light. She went from this innocent child/young woman on Facts of Life to this curvaceous and sexually attractive woman who was bougie and a fashionista. It was a stark difference.
