How much of the Roman Empire was actually under direct Roman control at its peak?

Almost every map depicting the Roman Empire tends to depict a solid mass of land spanning countries and continents under direct Roman control.

Would Roman authority extend across the entire entire landmass? Or was it only across core cities/regions connected by networks of communication and trade, with large areas in the interiors and borders having little to no control by Roman authority?

Do the Imperial Fists still use breacher squads?

Since they are quite rare post Horus heresy as terminators essentially serve as bullet sponges without sacrificing mobility and versatility in combat, two things that would be restrained by what’s essentially a shield wall formation,

But considering the siege heavy doctrine of the IFs, wouldn’t they still have a formation that’s very effective for a battle type where formation and protection mattered more than mobility?

I really hope TESVI explores the Taskmaster aspect of Peryite more

There’s an overwhelming tendency to depict Peryite entirely as the Prince of Pestilence, and this tends to Nurgle-ify him a tad too much.

ESO leaned into this very heavily and Peryite’s cultists were largely disease loving raving lunatics.

While this aspect of Peryite is certainly an important one, I think this tends to forget the role that pestilence plays in Peryites domain- maintaining natural order.

As the taskmaster, Peryite is the patron of all of the things that keep the world running, and pestilence is his albeit primary tool of resetting an out of balance world.

Nonetheless, I hope TESVI takes the opportunity to lean into the taskmaster aspect of his persona and really amplify his role as such- perhaps a village supply chain workers have been disrupted due to Peryite’s fury, and therefore the entire village enters into a state of chaotic entropy, until Peryite is satisfied and restores things to order.

Food for thought…

Really hope they work in the Blood Pact into the game.

Looking forward to playing as a Khorne aligned faction that isn’t downright insane.

A message to NBC prior to the release of Primetime

NBC if you or one of your social media sleuths can see this please note:

we are all very nervous regarding the new Primetime movie. Because it’s been many years since Tcap first came out and you guys might be driving this production in the dark and you’re not usually good at production in the dark/at night time.

I like that you’ve cast Robert Pattinson who’s 30….9 (we find out later he’s actually 40). I hope you guys ensure that he’s on top of his scripts and that his portrayal of Chris is raw (no improv)

Now, we’ve been passionate about this franchise for the better part of the last 20+ years and if you guys screw this up, we’ll shove your production cameras down your throat.

Additionally, note that mainstream tcap content doesn’t comeby very often, we’d want to watch it again and again. As such, please do release the uncut cleanest best versions of all Predator confrontations in your archive, we know you have them and you better not be playing fucking games.

Yours sincerely,
John Pederson

No one is asking the big question, if these aliens can travel between stars, why would they bother coming to Earth?

If they are capable of achieving lightspeed travel we are practically primitive in their Earths, why have these 4 alien species been spotted on Earth, supposing it's true.

Do Toreadors have to be high achieving artists? Or can they be regular people who work regular jobs but have very strong artistic inclinations?

It seems like a lot of Toreador characters are high achieving artists, which makes sense as the better they are in their pursuits of art, the more likely they are to attract a Toreador sire?

But could it be someone with a regular day job who might be a part of an art appreciation society or a strong admiration for architecture and aesthetics for example?

Supplements to manage HBA1C and Blood Glucose levels?

M30, 6’1, 87KG/190 lbs, South Asian (Tamil)

Hi guys, long time lurker here and always loved the insightful discussions that go on here.

As the title suggests- looking for OTC supplements to help manage hba1c levels. For some more context, strong history of age related type 2 diabetes in my family. Dad got diagnosed just last year at the age of 56, grandpa on dads side at 60, and on grandpa on moms side at 44, late grandma on dad’s side when she was 50.

Definite genetic risk here, though in my predecessors case a lot of it could be attributed to sedentary lifestyle, and diet - the mountains of rice in the South Indian diet and whack protein to carb ratios did not help.

I grew up and live in Canada so was lucky to have been exposed to a much more varied diet than my parents and am still fairly athletic to this day, exercise 4-5 times a week/ strength and cardio. I eat meat but typically lean more towards chicken & lamb, and seafood once a month.

glucose ranges between 80 and 97, most recent hba1c was 5.1.

what supplements should I take to help muscles absorb glucose more efficiently? And generally just to manage my body sugar levels throughout?

Thanks in advance!

Do we know what happened to Chuck’s pedo racket after his arrest?

I hope they nabbed everyone of those sick f**ks. Prior to the sting Chuck participated in a pedo sex racket where they groomed, filmed and exchanged child p**n.. for OVER 30 YEARS.

This guy was IMO probably one of the most dangerous predators to show up, could pass of as a neighbourly grandpa, soft spoken and calm, but was absolutely convinced that there was nothing wrong in diddling minors.

He seemed to know it was wrong from a legal standpoint, but morally thought nothing of it. Not to mention he tries to explain his behaviour on ‘books’ that he reads and ‘fantasizes’

I wish this guy got sent to prison and got a taste of his own medicine, lucky for him he got to take the shortcut.. death was too good for this monster.

Just finished VTMB2: I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would.

Played Bloodlines 1 more than a decade ago, it’s somewhat fresh in my head but I went into this one after reading a lot of reviews that said this was NOT a true Bloodlines sequel more of a Vampire Dishonored rather than a Bloodlines game (a comparison I’m somewhat inclined to agree with)

I’m going to skip past the usual objections- yes this shouldn’t have been titled Bloodlines 2, and yes certain aspects of the gameplay loop are quite lore breaking.

But look, I actually enjoyed this.. the combat loop and parkour was fun even if it was repetitive. I liked mixing and matching skills from different bloodlines and for different mission sets, though some skill lines are way OP versus others (eg Ventrue, Banu Haqim)The plot was decent and was quite amused with how it managed to subvert my expectations especially towards the conclusion. I started to feel much more engaged and curious about the plot after the second dream sequence.

Hated the ending narration, they just pulled a Mass Effect 3 and I wish they had fleshed it out into a proper epilogue or atleast tied up a few threads together to make whatever choices seem a lot more consequential for the plot, apart from a couple of key characters you meet.

Voice acting was a pleasant surprise, and I quite liked the performances of a lot of the VAs. The Camarilla higher ups sound regal as expected and side characters were surprisingly colorful.

It goes without saying that Fabien was my favourite part of the game, and the VA, Ronan Summers did a A++ job. I’m actually a little sad that TCR is shelving this franchise, I really wish he shows up as Fabien again.

All in all, I enjoyed it way more than the reviews led me to believe I would, and I wish I see a lot more from this franchise in the future.
