Hi!

I recently found out what determinism is and I think I’ve kind of always aligned with this but never knew the name for it. I also believe in the butterfly effect. Is it possible to believe in both at the same time, or does that contradict itself? Do determinists usually have a victim complex? I believe that I was given a good life, I did well in school and now I am doing well in college, and I will always have a good life even during my dark moments because I am making smart choices BUT I was given opportunities to continue having a successful/enjoyable life. I also have OCD if that matters lol. I grew up in the Bible Belt but I am not really religious because Christians seem to be the most prejudice and I’ve never really believed in the whole hell thing. Can someone recommend me to some philosophers?

America is so interesting right now. While we have lower income communities and POC complaining about gentrification and PE ruining local shops we also have super exclusive towns like Nantucket, the Hamptons and Martha’s Vineyard complaining about the influx of influencers and people ruining the communities.
Idk I just found it interesting how the opposite sides of the spectrum are being affected by the same thing.

I was eating my huge bowl of cantaloupe, and randomly had the idea of googling if all fruits are tropical" which to my surprise they are not. Which made me come to the realization that I am not a big fan of tropical fruits I prefer temperate. I noticed that I do not really like tangy or sour fruits, but never made the connection :) .

I always see different industries of marketing on tik tok , but when I google the different types of marketing it says things like SEO, email marketing, content marketing. What I’m trying to look for is like beauty marketing , fashion marketing , food marketing ( I made this up idk if this exists lol ) . THOSE types of marketing sections. What should I google for that? I’m honestly just curious if there’s any type of marketing that would involve me traveling.

So basically I only get nightmares if I sleep on my right side when I’m in my apartment . When I’m at my parents I can sleep on any side and be fine. It feels more comfortable to sleep on my right side tbh. This morning I woke up at 7am because in my dream I was a victim of school shooting lol, and I graduated like 6 years ago . The crazy part of the dream was like the shooter was one person, and then it somehow changed to another person, and then it changed to another person . And then like one of the teachers literally grabbed the gun, and the person had a knife so it was like I HAD to be harmed in the dream. So I was just wondering why that happens? Thank you.

So I moved into this apartment complex 2024 with this one company. 2025 it became a student apartment complex and I renewed my lease with them. Then on August 29 of this year, I called them asking if it was still possible to renew my lease and that I was interested. The last thing I remember her saying is "I am going to send you the information over." I no longer want to renew my lease, but a different message said that I renewed my offer. I personally don't remember signing anything , but I might have. The thing is the contract is from the old company that used to own my apartment complex. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
