Looking for work opportunities in Thailand

Hi everyone, I’m from Northeast India and I’m thinking of moving to Thailand. I’m a trans woman and I’m currently looking for work there.

I’m open to different kinds of jobs and honestly just trying to figure out what my options are as an Indian/foreigner. I speak English and I’m willing to learn Thai. I’d be interested in things like communications, social media, research, hospitality, NGOs, etc.

If anyone here has experience working in Thailand as a foreigner, I’d really appreciate some advice on where to look, what kind of jobs are realistic, and how the visa/work permit situation works.

Also, if you know of any LGBTQ-friendly workplaces or organisations that hire foreigners, please let me know.

I’m trying to move out of India and start somewhere new, so any genuine leads or advice would mean a lot. Thank you :)

Seeking a Queer Community Insider for a Long-Term Documentary Project

I am looking for a local person who is already part of Mumbai’s queer community and who knows the Hijra and LGBTQ+ scene from inside. This person should speak good English, understand the community, and help me build genuine relationships for a long-term reportage project. I am interested in stories connected to queer lives, Hijra communities, Dharavi, Koli fishermen and other communities on the margins of society. I am not looking for a tourist guide, but for a reliable person who can work with me as a local assistant and cultural bridge. I would like to have several video calls during August, while I am still in Italy, to understand if we can work together.

Requirements:

  1. Fluent in English (essential); Hindi required; Marathi preferred.
  2. Good knowledge of Mumbai’s queer community, especially Hijra networks and grassroots LGBTQ+ spaces.
  3. Punctual, reliable, and responsive.
  4. Comfortable interacting with people from diverse social and economic backgrounds.
  5. Active in the community and familiar with local organizations, activists, or informal networks.
  6. Respectful, empathetic, and able to build trust with people.
  7. Interested in documentary, journalism, research, or community work.
  8. Willing to have several video calls during August before we begin working together.
  9. Available for long-term collaboration in Mumbai.
  10. Open-minded, discreet, and respectful of confidentiality when working with sensitive stories.

I (F 25)accidentally found out what my long-distance boyfriend (M35)was doing online, and I don’t think I can ever trust him again.

I’ve been in a long-distance relationship for a while.
The last time my boyfriend visited me, he used my spare PC and accidentally left his Google account logged in. I didn’t realize it at the time.

A couple of weeks ago, we were having an intimate video call. A few days later, I remembered that his account was still logged in.

I checked his browsing history.

I found out that he had been watching porn during the same time we were being intimate.
I confronted him, and he denied it. Not once, but repeatedly. He kept saying no, even though the browsing history clearly showed otherwise. He is not aware that i have his browsing history.

After that, I started looking through more of his online activity. I know some people will say I shouldn’t have done that, but by then I already felt something was wrong, and I needed to know if I was imagining things.

What I found made everything worse.
It wasn’t just occasional porn. There was a long pattern of porn use, visits to Omegle, and I also had access to his Instagram. His recent searches showed the same girls over and over again. One particular girl was being searched multiple times every day. Seeing that happen consistently made me feel like I wasn’t imagining things anymore.

The biggest issue for me isn’t even the porn.
Early in our relationship, I told him that porn was a boundary for me. I explained that I wasn’t comfortable with it, and he agreed. If he had changed his mind later, I wish he had just been honest with me instead of hiding it and lying.
Finding out that he was watching porn while we were literally being intimate together broke something in me. I couldn’t stop wondering if he didn’t find me attractive anymore or if I just wasn’t enough.

He still tells me he loves me. He says he’d die if I left him. But after discovering all of this and being lied to, his words don’t mean much to me anymore.
For the past two weeks, I’ve felt emotionally detached. I don’t look at him the same way. The trust I had is gone.

I don’t know if I’m overreacting or if anyone else would also feel betrayed by this combination of lying, porn, Omegle, and constantly searching for other girls online.

Has anyone been through something similar? Is trust recoverable after something like this, or is this the point where you accept the relationship is over?

Looking for a Hindi-speaking local assistant

Posting on behalf of an Italian social documentary photographer working on a project in Delhi around street life and marginalized communities.

Looking for a Hindi-speaking local assistant (mornings) who can genuinely connect with people, not just translate. Work involves spending time with homeless communities, informal settlements, waste pickers, and other vulnerable groups.

Need someone empathetic, respectful, open-minded, and comfortable talking to people in difficult situations. NGO/outreach/social work experience is a plus.

If interested, DM with a short intro, availability, experience (if any), and which area of Delhi you’re based in.
