What do I do now?

Planted this little piece of staghorn a while back and just looked in the pot today and saw this. What do I do now?? I have no idea how to properly prop these this is the first one I’ve ever done. Also is that another growth in the last picture? How do I deal w that? Any advice is appreciated! I’m still trying to learn about these types of plants so I’m still very much a beginner 🥲

Looking for corn stalks!

Not sure if this is the right thread to post this - but I build a home haunt for Halloween every year for the neighborhood to enjoy and our friends and I want to do a gory “farm” theme this year. Any idea where I can get some corn stalks in bulk? I’m near Austin, Tx but I would pay for shipping if that’s an option!

Help ID’ing these pests and questions about what to do

Okay just a little backstory - I’m helping my friend through the beginning of her plant journey. She has a thai con monstera, a couple of hoyas and a heart leafed philodendron. She just bought a pothos marble queen yesterday which is when all the issues began - see below. Btw we knew there were fungus gnats before now so I do know that those were present.

(Reddit would t let me upload more than one video + photos, so see comments below)

I believe the first video is spider mites? But I’m not sure, the red stuff on the sticky trap in the second pic makes me think it may be that. (The video is from a monstera thai and so is the sticky trap) also she is in a SUPER chunky soil mix watered every week-week and a half only when pot is light and she looks thirsty.

The second video is from a marble queen pothos from Lowe’s and I feel like it’s thrips but I have no idea now bc of all the things I read I’m all confused. The last pic is a sticky trap from the monstera that was just put in last night I think? So does that mean the thrips got over there already???

the marble queen was just purchased yesterday, it was inside sitting beside the monstera for a little while before it was moved about 6ft away to a hanging planter and then the video of the pest on the leaf was taken yesterday evening. I recommended dumping out all the soil, drowning the plant and repotting and leaving it out side for a few days while the natures good guys predatory bugs come in the mail (I’d used these before when I had thrips and they worked wonders so this was my recommendation)

But I’m wondering if we need to just eradicate everything now bc if the spider mites as well as the (possible) thrips that are on the Thais sticky trap? Additionally, the Thai has been dormant for quite a while and is FINALLY pushing out a new leaf as of literally just yesterdat, so now I’m scared that if we repot and do all that then we will stress the thai out and the leaf will come out all messed up or the plant will go into shock… but I also don’t want the pests to become a problem during the new leaf’s development.

I like to think I’m pretty good at houseplants… I have about 100 myself and have dealt with many pest issues but this is a “complicated order” (bon qui qui voice) and I need some help!

What do I do with this… large baby🥴

I have never taken care of a staghorn before… I have about 100 other house plants, two macho ferns that are thriving and a few other ferns that aren’t doing so good lol but I saw this beauty at a local nursery a few weeks ago and couldn’t leave with out her. I would love some advice on how to make her happier, should I take her out of this pot and mount her? Split her into multiple plants? How to I get rid of the bottom brown parts or does she need that? Literally a noob when it comes to this so any advice would be welcome 🤗

I’ve had this regal shield for a few months now (she was beat up and left to die at Lowe’s so I saved her) put her under her own grow light, cleaned her up… she immediately gave me two flower blooms about a month in. I let those completely bloom and wilt, then cut them off… and then I started getting a new leaf. THEN I looked down at the bottom where the nodes are… and noticed one of the nodes was getting a little bit more cracked open every day… and I’m like surely I’m not getting a new stem? Bc the current one is already healthy… but now every day it grows more and more. So let me know - will I be getting a brand new stem that leaves will come out of??? Or is this just a root thing coming out 🥲
