much needed mental health day today, happy friday :-)

Spent the morning catching up on some household chores and bingeing my current anime series obsession (My Hero Academia). Now, I’m gonna take myself out for lunch 😋 And later, a trip to the park with my puppers. Hope everyone is also enjoying their Friday!

actually styled my hair today for the first time in almost 2 weeks

Trying to shake off this funk I’ve been stuck in, what the heck 🙃 Thinking about taking the day off tomorrow.

appreciation post for my second eldest boy

(Norman got one so I feel it’s only fair I do one they each get a post of their own)

This is Sidney Clawsby 🧡 (iykyk) Second oldest of my 4 kitties at 8-years-old.

He was a baby stray on our street who wandered up on our porch one day and stole our hearts with his equal parts cuddly and crazy orange cat personality.

Likes: Food, snuggles, treats, cat trees, screaming at us to feed him as if he’s starved, laser chasing, drinking from drippy faucets, eating my spider plant, scratching all our wood doorframes, and bird watching.

Dislikes: Not being fed on demand, laws of gravity*, sharing food or treats, not being the center of attention, and when someone else is sleeping in his spot.

*He got the cast in the last picture bc he thought he could climb up onto the very top of a curio cabinet and just fly off back down to the floor. After a $6,000 surgery to put a steel rod in his leg, we got rid of the cabinet. And Sidney-proofed the house.

best method to remove years old adhesive from dashboard?

Before I just rush in with my first instinct which is to saturate it all in Goo-Be-Gone, I wanted to see if anyone here had some good tips.

The car is 17 years old so I don’t need (or expect) it to look too pretty once it’s off. I will be replacing the phone holder with a new one and the same position anyway.

Both the phone holder and the “catch pad” have been there for close to 6 years. Is it DIY-able? Should I try taking it to a detailer? Is it hopeless?

appreciation post for my old man

This is Norman :) Eldest of 4 kitties in the household. Currently 12-years-old.

We adopted him 10 years ago last month. He was the last of his litter mates left in the shelter. The volunteers told us his siblings were adopted right away, but Norman had been stuck there for 2 years without any luck. So we brought him home to live with us and we’ve been spoiling and loving him for the past decade ♥️

Likes: Human attention, head scratches, hiding in stuffed animal piles, string, plastic chewing, mean mugging, and his alone time.

Dislikes: Having his picture taken, outside, laying too close to anyone else, belly touches, getting dragged into kitten/puppy shenanigans, and water fountains.

practicing the toss between and working on left handed spins

I’m a righty, so naturally it’s been a challenge getting the motions smoothed out with my left. Still working on it but I can tell I’m getting better and that’s pretty cool 😎

Mother of Thousands sure is a fitting nickname!

She sure is pretty but I have more than I know what to do with now 😅**

Can anyone tell me if they just continue to grow straight upwards? Will they require support? Do I need to cut it down at some point? Any other tips and tricks or fun facts about them?

**EDIT: Bye bye babies 👋🏼 After posting I’ve decided I’ll be destroying the smaller ones, keeping just the my original one.

Unfucking my house one room at a time: Room No. 1 ✔️ complete!

One of the New Years goals I set for myself is sprucing up and decluttering my home (inside and out) by the end of this year. With hopes to complete some renovation projects next year. We’re 6 months in and I’m only just starting 😅 Using this sub to post progress and hold myself a little more accountable. Scrolling thru all the posts here is a good part of what pushed me to get started this weekend.

1 out of 8 rooms down! I’m thinking I’ll do some work in the yard next.
