Milky Way Core, Pinnacles NP

Shot on an A7V mounted to a tripod with the Viltrox 26mm f2.8 EVO.
Single exposure of 25s, 26mm at f2.8, 5000 ISO.
Edited in Adobe Lightroom Classic, bumped up saturation for the oranges/yellows and increased contrast overall.

Really open to feedback, please be critical! My second time with the goal of getting an astro shot, friends wanted to try and see the Perseids so I tagged along. I definitely want to try stacking, as well as deeper sky, although my longest lens is the 70-200gmii. Hope you guys enjoy, definitely an amateur so advice is appreciated ;)

First months on FF

Been a really fun and busy few months, finding my style slowly and here’s a few of the favourites. All shot with the 20-70 f4 or the 70-200GMii on an A7V.

[B][USA-CA] Viltrox 35mm and 85mm Evo for E mount

Hey everyone, seeing what type of deals people have for the mentioned lenses, don’t really mind cosmetic condition as long as glass is clean and everything works! Local to 95120, please comment before dming!

Thoughts on these?

Curious on what you guys think about these, looking back at them I might have gone a bit too much with the saturation but I don’t mind it too much. Trying to shoot slower and think about what I want, instead of just clicking away. Hope you all enjoy, looking forward to any feedback :)

Sunsets from the Bay

Just some scenes from around the Bay, I’ve been trying to explore more of it this summer (especially the East and North Bay hills!)

1 and 2 were from Mt. Tam, 3 is Mt. Umunhum, 4 is quite self explanatory, 5 and 6 are off skyline and 7 is the Alviso salt ponds! The first 3 were taken on my camera, the rest on my phone. Hope you all enjoy!

Fireworks at the Golden Gate

Went out with some friends to the beaches to try and see a different view of the fireworks, wasn’t super crowded and managed to have a few nice moments!

All photos are mine, last one was taken a little before the show started.

Midnight spotting at SFO

Went with a friend a few nights ago to planespot, I’d only gone during the day so nighttime was definitely a challenge. Some nice captures and I apologize in advance for the panning shots, those were the best out of hundreds haha. Hope you all enjoy!

What length chain?

Hey everyone, trying to figure out a second chain to get for myself as well as sizing the first one I have. I’m thinking about either a cuban or a franco in silver again, the photos are 18, 20 and 22in respectively.

I need to get an extender for my current one but I’m thinking the 20in is the best for the one with the pendant. I’m also trying to figure out if 3mm vs 4/5mm for the next chain, any advice would be appreciated! Thanks everyone.

20M recently out of a relationship

Recently out of a long term relationship, and trying to better myself by working more on my hair since it’s been a bit of an insecurity of mine.

I’ve always had a hard time figuring out what haircut I want to get (I’ve usually gotten it short like in #3). When it grows out it’ll kinda splay out (like in #6) and I’ve tried some different looks but always default back to just letting it grow and kinda just leaving it be.

#1 and 2 were taken today and that’s how I usually just let it sit. It’s been getting long so for my next haircut I’m trying to decide whether to go short again or perm it since my friends have said I look good with a perm (#5 #7 #8).

I’ve also started experimenting with growing out my facial hair, and unfortunately for me one side doesn’t really want to grow. I think it makes me look older, but I’m torn between letting it grow more or just shaving it all. Appreciate any advice and suggestions, thanks for reading this!

Stay at AM4 and upgrade CPU or upgrade to AM5?

Hey everyone, I’m in a pretty lucky situation! A family friend gave me their 9070XT because they moved to Nvidia, and now I’m unsure what my upgrade path should be. Budget for everything is around $500-600

I built my PC late 2021, and it’s a Ryzen 7 3700x, 16GB DDR4-3600 ram and a 2060 (now replaced). With such a crazy GPU, I’m not sure whether to upgrade my CPU to a 5800XT or bite the bullet and go to AM5. I’m not a big fan of the latter option, especially with everything being so inflated but at the same time I want to make it last for at least the next 4 years.

I’d say it’d be a 60/40 split between work and gaming. Work wise it’s mostly running VSCode and then photo and video editing in Lightroom and DaVinci, gaming wise I’ve been playing LoL, Val, Apex, and Sim racing toobut haven’t been able to play Ghost of Tsushima and Expedition 33 yet! Workload while gaming will just have the game and discord open, with probably a few other tabs. All this is on 1440p 165Hz as the main monitor and a 1080p 240Hz as my second one.

Any advice/feedback would be helpful, hope the post isn’t too long and thanks for reading!

Some nature with the Helios 44M-4

Took a break from studying to just go out and shoot a little bit, it’s been so windy today and combined with my very beginner skills at manual focusing I didn’t get too many keepers but I’m pretty happy with these!

Started taking photography a bit more seriously, thoughts?

As a university student it’s been hard to get out and take more consistent photos, so when I do go out I’m trying to be very meaningful about what I shoot. Any feedback is appreciated, this is probably the last few months of my work :)

[B][USA-CA] Sony a6000 Silver

Want a fun little second cam, for now just in silver since I have a few manual TTartisan lenses. Looking for the above, don’t mind wear as long as sensor is clean and it comes with a battery! Budget is around $300, PPGS or Venmo/Cash local (95616/95120).

Would also be interested in a Helios 44-2 with an E mount adapter if you have one, forgot to add it to the title.

Shoot me an offer if you have one, please comment before dm!

New to me A7V and 70-200GMii

70-200 GMii arrived today, had to take it out and here’s some few of my favorite shots with it. Definitely a lens I’ll never sell, been such a joy to use and it’s really just perfect. Thanks for looking!

Hey everyone, hope this finds you all well!

I know this is probably a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone was thinking of selling their tickets to Yo-Yo Mas concert on June 1st? Would be for one but if selling 2 together I’d love to pick those up!

I had tried getting them but they were sold out when I checked and I unfortunately can’t pay the thousands that some people are selling them for (broke college student).

Thanks and much appreciated if anyone is!

Happy to have the A7V finally come in, upgrading from an NEX that has served me well over the years haha.

Looking for the above lens, budget is around $800 for this. Trying to decide between this and a standard 2.8 zoom. Might post another one looking for a 35mm later to pair with this.

Local to Bay Area 95120, preferably could get one this weekend if possible. Hit me with your offers and please comment before dming!

Looking for a 24-70ii Sigma in good condition, scuffs is fine but no chips in the glass and it should be optically great. Budget is on the lower end, but seen some on FM go for 800-900 so I’d like to stick around there. Local to 95120 Bay Area, will prioritize those.

Also looking for a Shimoda Urban Explore Bag in the 25L, would prefer the boa color but black is great too. Saw some on ebay for around $140-160 so around that would be great.

Thanks for looking and hit me with your offers, not in a huge rush either and will cover the PPGS fee if not local meetup.
