Don't DIY = Wait NHS .. DIY = Wait NHS *sigh*

So I'm nearly 3 years on Estrogen DIY and put myself on the NHS Gender wait list at the same time ,(2y6m wait) Had my first video appointment a few weeks ago to explain history etc, and so I think the gist of the end of the conversation is IF i wasn't DIY they could probably get me on E soon but because I'm already DIY'ing a different team deals with the DIY'ers and Now I have a letter for my next video appointment and I thought "ooh that was quick" and then read the date .. in 2028 .. I can deal with the wait but an important note is that I have never had a blood test and honestly spent months trying to stabilise my mood and how I 'feel' (currently feeling good) so it's just a shame that they can't even prioritise getting me bloods done.. and in addition to the cost of estrogen I cant pay private to get them checked.

I'd be curious to know how quickly things moved for others from their 2nd video call, did bloods get done, was a prescription for E offered how long till getting a castration/vaginoplasty?

Is this the Worst joke in Spaceballs ?

It always seems so unnatural when something is hot you instantly spit it out but here he holds it in. I really think Spaceballs is so well written, Is there a worse joke ?

Hot.. too Hot !

What is your Number 1 VST you love above all others ?

Personally I really want to buy a Synth-Piano but I need to stop spending big money on stuff I never use. My music taste is anything from 1984-1989, I bought FM8 to play DX7 roms and I like a lot of sound presets from Refx Nexus. u-he Diva is top of the sales chart on thomann (below 2 drum kits) and I'm tempted to get that but I'm curious what VST is your favourite (or do you prefer a Synth more?)

Inventory realism, do you care ?

If Jill Valentine could carry 8 items this is what her backpack would look like and even then she isn't going to get a shotgun or flame thrower in one of those slots. I know everyone loves the Tetris style inventory in RE4 but you also don't see Leon carrying a huge briefcase, this really applies to MOST games so what should the item limit be?

For a game like the RE Classics you could only carry 2 items and drop an item on the ground when you need to carry something else (assuming you could return to that item later (and mark it on a map)

I'm working on my own 'RE.C-Like' and am curious how others would change how the inventory works if you think it needs changing at all?

Classic 'RE-Like' In production, I started with the most important inventory item !

I've got some really great ideas for updating the classic resident evil formula and will explain how a Inventory box works :p

What would you like to see improved on the 'Classic' Resident Evil' formula?

I love the classic Resident Evil games Re1, Re2, Re3 RE:CVX & Dino Crisis 1 & 2. I've spent hours analysing these games and the many RE Clones on steam, I like the fixed cameras and tank controls, the combat is hit or miss (literally and this is the main thing that turned me off Silent Hill) but at it's core they are like 'point n click' games, finding and using objects, puzzle solving etc.

For me the appeal of 'Classic Resident Evil' was the Sci-Fi (and cross-dressing) aspect but RE4 shifted down the 'Silent Hill' psychological "Ahh weird scary guy with a bag on his head" route. I have begun working on my own game and I have some really good ideas for how the gameplay could be improved, Capcom will never release another fixed camera/tank control game again but I'd love to hear what others wished could have been improved or elements from other games that would merge well with it ?

Has anyone (small studio) ever licenced music for their game?

I understand that licencing music can cost thousands of dollars 'per track' As an Indie dev I'm sure that would be well out of my price range but I like the idea of doing a cover track which should be considerably cheaper.. failing that hiring a lesser known indie band sounds like a good option too, but I am curious if anyone here has done it for their game?

How can I get better glass reflections for my character ?

I'm trying to set up proper reflections for my character, but it seems relative to the camera and it looks really bad, I'd like it to reflect like a mirror when the character gets close to it Ive tried a whole bunch of settings for the reflection probe and glass material , and there are countless unity tutorials that no longer work in Unity 6.5. This is just an experiment there are no fancy textures or lighting added. Im starting to think it would be better to fake the reflection where there is a mirrored character in the other room. but in 2026 I dunno why this seems so difficult to setup.

Large PC tower with 3.5 & 2.5 bays recommendations?

It seems that on every PC case these days totally ignore 3.5 bays and with SSD costing way too much I'd like to use x2 3.5 Hard Drives and x2 SSDs from my external bay into a main PC.

I want something large that doesn't require cramming all the cables and parts in tight spaces (I have a 4070 card).

Ideally one that comes with fans and upto a max of £400ish

DD Duracell edit cut from the BluRay version or am I remembering wrong?

I swear I've seen a (possibly VHS) version of this movie where this 'spaceball' pulls out Dot's batteries and you see it hit the sand and it says 'Duracell' .. that being the joke Dot runs on 2 DD Duracell batteries. but it isnt in the BluRay version and google says this Never happened..

I know another edit of this movie changes the music in the cafe and assumed they did that for this for some brand/licence issue .. or Did I just imagine it ??
