Y’all, I’ve owned my 2026 Bolt for only a few months. Shortly after I got the car, I was driving home and in front of me a tractor was being hauled through downtown Chicago; it was oversized (no signage or escort 😒) and struck an overpass, scattering debris across the highway. Unfortunately, I ran over a piece that punctured my battery.

My insurance adjuster now claims the cost of replacing just the battery exceeds the value of my nearly new Bolt, so the car is a total loss. Has anyone else faced something like this? I really don’t want to discard an entire vehicle because the battery needs replacement; it seems extremely wasteful. The puncture is about half an inch into the battery. Should I accept the payout and attempt to replace the battery myself? or just trash my baby?

Learned today that Equniox's parent company, Related L.P, not only built and manages the apartment building I live in, but also is the largest investor in the company I work for.

Also they own the building where my favorite coffee shop is, and are currently building the stadium and development for my soccer team. They also built (idk if they also manage) the building my boyfriend lives in. They've also partnered with the hospital I was born at to build their office building 😀. I guess I am their target demographic.

Anyway if you ever just want to spiral recommend reading up on everything they own. It's like Buy-n-Large form Wall-E.

I just transferred to a new store and it's so bad ( had my new SM yell at me within 3 hours of my first shift there) so many other terrible things happening but I'm so over this whole company now and just want to leave.

any fellow shifts who've gotten a job at a similar pay range? I've been looking at other retail and food service jobs and they all pay less, any tips for roles to apply for with similar workloads?

Y’all, I've posted here before, but the saxophones are getting louder. I submitted my transfer application back in February. And it’s been sitting as submitted for almost 4 months now with no decision. Every time I reach out to admissions, or directly to the school I applied to, I get a message saying that applications are accepted on a rolling basis and are under review. 

Be for real, chat: am I getting in this year, or is it too late? My old online school offered to let me come back with a scholarship rate; however, I have to accept next week, and I'd rather go to an in-person public university.

I applied for fall 2026 as a transfer back in Jan, still haven't heard anything. I know transfers are accepted on a "rolling basis" and there’s not a major acceptance deadline like with the first years, but 5 months and the portal still says submitted. It just feels really long for an undergrad application.

Any other transfer students who've gone through this, how long did it take to get an acceptance letter?

Truly one of the most frustrating companies I've ever dealt with, I'm on the board of a housing Coop who voted to set up a bulk internet package for the 3 buildings we own. I've reached out to Xfinity via the phone, email, and their communities contact us page still nobody has ever gotten back to me in the last 6 weeks.

How do you set up a Xfinity Communities plan? Who do I need to talk to?
