Seattle fiber incredibly spotty
It's like varying between working and not working but can't keep a stable signal. What the hell?!?

I play Pokemon which has incredibly weird odds for things at times. I'm usually good at determining the probability of singular odds for things eg an event should happen 50% of the time at around ~70% of the odds.
This one I'm working on I dont know where I start. It has 4 different probabilities in 100 attempts. 80% is a lower amount. However there is a 4% chance that any of these attempts could be the best tier. 18% of the next tier. 1% penultimate tier and 1% final tier.
I'm trying to figure out what is the probability that I do not get an event after 100 attempts with all this but again I don't know where to start

Used a 3 smeargle baton pass chain and baton pass intimidate Mawile. Took around 10 hours and 160-170 encounters with no shiny charm.
Background: Hi I'm a trans woman with likely CCI that was bedbound with ME for 5 years. I was a patient of the Bateman Horne Center for two and a half years. After years of being so ill, I slowly paced enough to the point that I was able to move via a couple hour flight. I moved from a very dry location to a very wet location which saw a drastic unprecedented improvement of my condition in which I went from being able to walk 50 feet at a time to being able to walk miles in the span of a week. It is my belief that possible mold and the change in elevation somehow interacted with my CCI in such a way to lessen my symptoms drastically.
4 months ago the combination of pushing myself and a intense illness lead to my first crash in over a year. While I was obviously devastated by that I didn't anticipate just how challenging this crash would be on multiple levels. Whereas I could expect a nigh full recover in 2 months when I was on saline IVs, not having them made this crash significantly harder. I still have not received them and I'm only now getting a referral to a doctor that might be willing. I was led on for months by doctors who said they would help and then utterly refused to do so.
This was even more frustrating when the lack of IVs led to two emergency visits when I drank out all of my electrolytes due to my chronic unending thirst. I'm learning to deal with that better but it's always a risk and apparently is worse when I'm crashed and weaker. Being told I was unnecessarily seeking care that I needed also didn't help matters but from knowing that lactic ringers would bring me back to normal I advocated for myself and got the care I needed.
I lost friends because I crashed. One of my former friends believed that my constant crashing was due to anxiety and her gf thought so too and that I was a soul sucking leech who just needed to get over her anxiety. I'm now doing better but it's no thanks to them or their ideas which would have made things worse.
i nearly made it out of crashing on my first try. I lasted 21 days without crashing after my initial crash before pushing myself too much and falling back into it. Crashes would happen about every week after that which ironically prolonged the crash period instead of the crashes ever 2-3 days of previous crashes.
Learning how I've recovered is nervewracking. I did a test last sunday to walk to my elevator and walk outside, down the block and back without resting. I knew it was likely I could do this but that doesn't make it any less terrifying. I brought a friend to help be there in case I crashed. I did do it and seemed t be ok. Still have no idea where my limits are but I'm tentatively working on trying to get nearer to them while not putting myself at risk.
I'm living mostly alone now which has presented an array of challenges but I have people to help get meds, do dishes and fetch groceries. I can make basic foods but it's not unlike times I've had in the past.
My hygiene has declined immensely. My hair has been tangled for 2 months. Every so often I have spare energy I take a whack at it and try to detangle losing more and more hair. I estimate I have lost around half my near butt length hair at this point and it will have to be cut significantly shorter once I get it detangled. I really haven't had time to mourn that yet.
All this with my partner just having undergone a significant medical surgery has made things pretty hard. Life isn't easy right there, there's so much going on and I'm just trying to tread water. but I'm hanging in there.
On the positive side I've gotten super into pokemon champions and I have gotten to top 1000 players on the ladder a few times and I'm working on improving my game. It has been a lifesaver as even when i just crashed the day after I can usually play a game or two before having to stop to rest.
I'm slowly getting stronger and I think I'm going to be ok.
Hang in there friends
TLDR: I've been recovering from a particularly challenging crash but I'm getting stronger and am optimistic about my recovery
Im honestly in shock I made a great push today on 4 hours of sleep but I wanted to share my team and break it down!
For a while I was using skarmory and Dragonite as my megas but they didn't feel impactful enough and relied on other Pokemon too much. Two days ago I switched my skarmory to Starmie and my mega glimmora for mega Heracross and realized that I had found what my rain team needed.
This team wants to use its powerful megas to blow a hole through any offensive Pokemon so the remaining Pokemon like archaludon can sit back and absorb the hits. This team is heavy on rain both defensively and offensively. It powers up mega starmie to absurd levels and it gets rid of boosts that would otherwise keep Pokemon alive from our onslaught.
We rely heavily on burning physical attackers and catching attacks to get our Pokemon in position. With the exception of popular Pokemon archaludon, kingambit, and basculegion, Mega starmie 1 shots nearly all Pokemon if there is rain between its 3 moves. There's an argument for adamant for that little bit of power to guarantee -to kill 1 attack mega Floette in the rain but I wanted to outspeed non timid talonflame and sneasler though that has rarely come up.
Mega Starmie has liquidation as its strongest water move, you'll basically never see the defense drop. If it doesn't resist water and another move isn't 4x effective you use liquidation. Zen headbutt is for venusaur, opposing waters and last ditch flinches. Ice spinner is for Dragonite, garchomp and whimsicott. I tried aqua jet but we're so fast already, it doesn't do a ton of damage and otherwise dragons wall us.
Mega Heracross picks up the slack. Mega Heracross can one shot with close combat kingambit through chople berry and most Maushold. It also one shots most archaludon unless they are extremely physically bulky or sturdy.
Skill link turns bullet seed and rock blast into delete buttons for many common Pokemon. With speed advantage you can cleaning knock out Mega Froslass through snow with rock blast, it also knocks out mega Dragonite through multiscale, is the go to attack against sinitcha and takes down other fliers.
Bullet seed deletes focus sash basculegion, opposing waters and Rotom. It also has a good chance of killing mega gardevior.
Main problem is if they have archaludon you give them a free +5 defense in the switch which means you have to use plan B for archaludon
Mega Heracross is trained to be 1 point of speed faster than modest max speed pelipper which also outspent many variants of archaludon. With tailwind it out speeds nearly every Pokemon. With max hp it lives 2 stacks of last respects from adamant basculegion. 1 point is put into special defense and the remaining 10 points and the nature go into attack
Archaludon has a slightly different spread. 7 points into special attack and modest nature kills Aaron Zhang's archaludon with either two special attack boosts or if it's soaked. That below. 4 speed out speeds common Mega meganium and many archaludon. 6 defense gives a good chance of army sneasler not 1 shotting archaludon with max hp and the rest go into special defense.
Electro shot is a given. Flash cannon is essential to tear down rocks and fairies, it's the backup killer of floette and sylveon. Draco meteor is a must have killing not only other dragons but also big hits on threats like Mega venusaur or when you're out of the rain and resisted. Protect and leftovers are a must along with stamina. You could pair it with your own Heracross to give +5 defense but I never found that set to necessary.
Whimsicott is trained into being extremely physically bulky with max hp, a defensive nature and 30 defense. As we don't have ways to lessen physical damage when we use it we want it to live all the rockslides and sometimes iron heads that it can. The remainder go into speed. Whimsicott is going to generally take a lot of hits so the bright powder can be incredibly useful. It can completely turn a game around when we evade a fake out or dire claw and makes low accuracy moves even more risky like hurricane and blizzard.
Taunt shuts down perish song, protects and set up. Light screen makes the mega floette matchup way way better but also has common utility. Moon blast hits for neutral and punished hydreigon and komm-o that otherwise threaten the team and tailwind makes mega Heracross, archaludon, and pelipper to out speed nearly any nontailwind ipponents primarily fast enough to to damage
Pelipper is max special attack and modest. It has two points in defense to help with rock slides from tyranitar, excadrill and aerodactyl. The rest go into speed.
It carries the focus sash which helps with a lot of Pokemon carrying electric moves and makes for much harder end games for opponents.
It carries wide guard for primarily floette and rockslide users. Soak to make archaludon and kingambit vulnerable to our archaludon and to take off stab from Pokemon particularly basculegion which then cuts last respects damage in half. Weather ball primarily kills Charizards and ttars but can in cheeky sun cases melt steels and wreck fires. Hurricane takes out grasses and primarily sneasler but other fighters as well. It's also a good hacks button if you need a confusion to win.
Sableye is primarily physically bulky but has a bit in special bulk too. The defense is statted to live I believe mega aerodactyl dual wing beat. It has a defensive speed reducing nature and the rest of the points go into special defense. You are never not using prankster with this Pokemon so speed is only relevant as who is the last to set up weather. It carries to sitrus berry for recovery which is procs often
Sableye is one if not the most crucial Pokemon to making this team work. Quash is pseudo speed control. Encore ends games and locks nondark fake out users into struggle if they can't swap. Encore is essential to leaving Pokemon vulnerable so mega Starmie can punch through them. Rain dance turns Mega Charizard matches into much easier games, turns off chlorophyll and sand rush allowing your Pokemon go always attack first. It turns mega Starmie from a merely strong Pokemon to a one shotting machine. Very vulnerable to nonprankster taunt but very good. Absolutely terrible in the Mega Floette match up or where constant speed is required however.
Team greatly struggles into dark types that we can't prankster, hydreigon and hisuian samurott pose pretty big problems for the team but can be worked around. Mega greninja and meowscarda are problems if they keep their dark typing however protean to a nondark type or soak can make them vulnerable to prankster
Archaludon is a huge threat if you can't get your archaludon or Mega Heracross in place. Floette is unsurprisingly the hardest mega matchup but far from impossible. Mega scovillian generally requires pelipper or a boosted archudon to get through it. It's so passive however it's rarely a threat.
There are 3 modes to this team
Floette mode is Whimsicott Mega Starmie Archaludon Pelipper. Can beat Mega Charizard but takes finesse
Counter rain team/Archaludon/Gardevior/most trickroom teams
Whimsicott mega Heracross Archaludon Pelipper
Main mode which I use probably 60% of the time
Sableye Mega Starmie Archaludon Pelipper.
Definitely baby prediction fake out mode. Since they can only hit sans scrappy your not Sableye Pokemon, you can safely swap into Archaludon for a free +1 defense boost that you heal off end of turn. Since I basically never lead Archaludon this is incredibly consistent.
This last Sunday, a real Pokemon fan was brutally murdered in Seattle. Her name was Juniper Blessing.
Her friends describe her as incredibly kind and caring, extremely talented and with a real love of Pokemon.
Her favorite Pokemon were Maractus, Pachirisu and Ninetales.
In her honor my buddy is named For Juniper and is a Pachirisu I caught last summer. If you'd like, I encourage you to do the same
Let's not forget such a sweet girl who loves Pokemon as much if not more so than most of us.
Today the King County medical examiners released the name and the tragic circumstances that led to the death of UW student Juniper Blessing.
Juniper was followed and not just killed, she was brutalized. She was stabbed over 40 times, which mirrors violence done to other trans women such at the over 50 stab wounds to Lauren Page, the 28 stab wounds to Brianna Ghey and the 119 stab wounds of Dee Whigham, a black trans woman.
The hate for trans people runs deep even in Seattle. As we stand by our trans sisters and neighbors it's important to recognize just how vulnerable we are and what we face.
Stay safe and stand by your fellow trans people, especially those that are trans women and trans women of color
I know what a fucking panic attack is.
I know what ME is.
I haven't spent 6 fucking years recovering for no goddamn reason
