Adding Science to existing ACT registration

Hi! I didn’t realize that I had not added the Science option to my ACT registration for June 13.

It is now having me pay $42 late fee, and change the testing location too. Is there any other way to add it?

Thank you!

ACT score for engineering admission

Howdy! I wanted to ask if I need to do the science component of the ACT for a strong admissions chance in the TAMU computer or electrical engineering program please?

Right now in my practice ACT tests, I’m getting a score of 28 with just the English and Math sections.

I took the SAT just once so far and got 1220.

Thanks in advance!

Paying financial advisor - worth it?

So I have a SEP IRA through Raymond James that has a value of $16k right now. It is a 4 year old account and I had only invested once with $8k. Couldn’t make more investment due to my business fluctuations.

The advisor charges a 1% fee, which works out to like $140-$150 a year right now.

He does make it a point to invest in stocks that are not weapons or casinos or alcohol companies, due to my personal preference, so he’s mindful of that.

Is it worth having this advisor, or should I just manage my own?

I’m a newbie, so I would have to learn and invest accordingly.

Would appreciate any insight. Thank you!

11th grader question about transferring

Howdy! I‘m really interested in studying engineering at TAMU.

I recently toured the campus and loved the Aggie spirit! The student guide briefly mentioned that high schoolers can take certain AP classes in high school, to be able to take an easier class at TAMU?

Which classes like those should I take in high school now?

I reached out to the regional advisor for more info, but thought of asking on here as well, to get some guidance please.

I live in Houston - is it better to study at Houston Community College and then transfer? Is it possible to get into Electrical or Computer Engineering through the HCC or Blinn transfer program?

Also, with my dual credit classes, I’m close to completing an Associates degree from HCC - will any of these credits transfer? Has anyone done this?

So far, I’ve done 5 AP classes and going to do 4 more next year in 12th grade. I attend a smaller private high school, and they don’t offer many APs.

Should I self-study for AP Calculus BC and any other APs?

Would love any advice and tips please. Thanks!
