Does anyone else feel like their life moves through predetermined cycles or “reality shifts”?

Hey guys, new here!
Ever since I was a child, I've had what I would describe as mild psychic or intuitive experiences.
Most often they come through very distinct dreams, or sudden thoughts in my own voice that seem to appear out of nowhere guiding or warning me.
But the stranger thing is the way my life seems to move in patterns or cycles.
There are certain periods where it feels like no matter what I do, I can't escape the general pattern I'm in. Then eventually something shitts, and suddenly the old version of my life feels completely gone and a new period begins. My luck changes, circumstances change, opportunities change, and even the overall
"direction" of my life feels different.

The closest description I've found is when people talk about feeling as though they've switched timelines or entered a parallel version of their reality. I'm not necessarily saying that is literally what is happening- it's just the closest way I can describe the feeling.
Within each of these periods, I can very much predict the outcome of certain areas of my life.
Not necessarily exact events, but the overall direction.
There is one particular thing I want deeply that seems completely normal and attainable for most people. But for some reason, I have this very strong feeling that I'm not going to receive it in this life, or perhaps not for a very long time.
Every time I seriously work toward it, I seem to encounter major obstacles, and eventually I end up back in the same place.

That familiar "pattern" feeling returns, almost like there is a doorway that simply won't open no matter how many different approaches I try. It's simply blocked.
The difficult part is accepting that feeling. Part of me believes I should keep trying to change my circumstances, while another part feels like this particular cycle won't change until eventually the universe decides. I've talked with a lot of people about this and no one can seem to relate to that.

Has anyone here experienced something similar?
Especially the feeling of moving through distinct life cycles where certain things suddenly become possible or impossible? How do you tell the difference between intuition and becoming convinced by a pattern because you've experienced it so many times?

How do I stop confusing sexual interest/affection with actual romantic interest?

I’m 27F and I haven’t had a real relationship since my last one 7 years ago. Since then it’s basically just been dating apps, talking stages, situationships and guys being sexually interested in me.

I think my biggest problem is that my brain connects sex + chemistry + affection with “this is going somewhere.”

Like if a guy really wants me sexually, we have great sex, he cuddles me, is affectionate, talks to me a lot, spends time with me etc, I start thinking there must be romantic feelings there too.
I genuinely don’t seem to have a separate box in my head for “he likes me and enjoys being with me” and “he actually wants a relationship with me.”

Because for me, if I have great chemistry with someone, like them, enjoy the sex and feel close to them, I would want to see where it goes. I’m also very willing to communicate and work things out, so I keep assuming other people think the same way.
And then I get attached to guys who are perfectly happy having sex, affection, emotional closeness etc without actually wanting to commit to me.

I think loneliness makes it worse because I really do want a relationship, so I probably read way too much into things that feel relationship-like.
This has honestly caused me years of heartbreak and I’m tired of doing this to myself.

How do you actually tell the difference between a guy liking you/being attracted to you and a guy genuinely wanting to build a relationship with you?
And how do I stop treating sex, chemistry and affection as proof that something romantic is developing?
