Hello.. I will soon be achieving my goal of 10K shares of SCHD and am considering moving on to SCHY. I am thinking of limiting my shares of SCHY to my retirement accounts rather than my brokerage accounts as its dividends are not Qualified being it holds primarily foreign equities. One "benefit" of SCHY is that there becomes Foreign Tax Credits (FTC). So my question is for those who might also hold SCHY. Do these FTC create enough benefit to offset the difference between regular (22%) and qualified (15%) dividends in a brokerage account. Thank You ........

A side note if I might... I know someone is going say "hey you sometimes pay zero percent for Qualified Dividends" ... but do know with 10K shares of SCHD I am well past this benefit.
Hello... I just ended my participation in Schwab's Intelligent Portfolio program and all of the ETFs held have been transferred to another brokerage account. I am thinking of holding on to most of them for a bit and wonder if I should let these DRIP or take the dividends and purchase more SCHD.
They are the "standard' Schwab ETFs and wonder if any are as "good' as SCHD for long time growth and the stability that SCHD seems to have. Thank You

This might be the stupid question of the week (not my goal) I keep seeing people talking about an ETF such as SCHD and saying such things as "I am ten years from retirement and I am DCA'ing.(sic). When one DCA's does he or she have a plan/schedule of putting a set amount of money into that ETF at intervals versus simply buying the ETF when they have a few bucks available to do so? I of course understand intervals but to say you are cost averaging implies, at least to me, that you have some idea what the cost will be at each one of those intervals. Thank You
Hello. Could somebody please explain SGOV to me and how it makes money? I have 40K that I want to put aside for about six (6) months and I am wondering if SGOV is the right place rather that say my checking account... I do not understand what I see on the Schwab web page chart which seems to show it going up in value daily and then dropping back to "zero" when it pays the monthly dividend. Is the "trick" simply to sell on the right day before the dividend is paid? Thank You
Hello... I am ending my Intelligent Portfolio account and am thinking lessening the 18 ETFs it now holds and I would value any insightful opinions. I am thinking of dumping SCHI ... SMBS ... SCHR.... and possibly even HAUZ. I am selecting these as they are bond and treasury ETF's

Hello... Does anyone have experience with the process of ending their involvement in Schwab's Intelligent Portfolio program? Can one simply tell Schwab that they no longer desire their guidance and have the ETFs and cash in that account made/turned into an account that they themself now control? Hello... I am wondering if anyone has an opinion on hold this ETF. I recently changed my Intelligent Portfolio setting to get out of bonds, both in part of the current market and the fact that I hold a good deal of other fixed incomes. Schwab replaced those holdings with this. I am a bit confused as I know nothing of this ETF and the fact that it is a BOND fund... How is it different from what I left? Thank You

I am not much of an active trader... maybe two or three trades a month on average ... and I perform all of my activity and the web page ... not ever using the mobile app. Nonetheless I have received two (2) contacts from Schwab in the past few weeks offering me the opportunity to receive a 45 minute one-on-one training course over the phone to learn how to use Thinkorswim.
Is there any real and/or good reason that I might want to learn this interface. Does Schwab hope for some reason that by sitting and watching candles go up and down I will become more of an active trader? Or maybe they just want a long time client to be able to use all the tools they offer.

Hello... The only show I watch on a regular basis on CNBC IS Half Time Report and today I noticed that there were almost no commercials if any at all. Plenty of promos for other CNBC shows and/or podcasts. Also a PSA but no paid advertisements. Just curious... is there a known reason for this? Thank You

I do not own a business (retired) and I do not undertake international transactions, yet I see brokers like Fidelity giving me the ability to purchase them.
