I am putting together a WhatsApp group chat for any solo travellers planning to head to Helsinki and/or Dusseldorf for the NHL Global Series 2026.
I did this for the 2025 Global Series in Sweden and also the Winter Olympics in Milan this year and both were really cool groups with solo travellers from all over the world sharing travel plans, tips, ideas, meeting up to travel to and from the games and generally just looking out for each other over the course of the weekend. It was great fun.
I dont particularly relish solo travel, but none of my hockey pals are prepared to pay the money to watch the NHL, so I go myself 😂

Did anyone attend Kevin Keegans Soccer Circus in Braehead? I remember when it opened, and saw Kevin several times walking through xscape which was a bit surreal to begin with. I wonder why he picked Braehead of all places to do it.

Just a heads up for anyone who was looking at the 2026 NHL Global Series in Helsinki for the Seattle Kraken vs Carolina Hurricanes matches, they have released a bunch of tickets in section 317 and 318 (upper corner) for €149 which is significantly cheaper than the price they were listed at when they went on presale.

I'll declare myself early, I like the big fella. I didnt always, but I thought when he came to Celtic he genuinely bought into the club. From sleeping outside for the foundation charity event, greeting fans outside the ticket office at ST renewals, playing football with the young fans outside the ground. He came across as a very decent guy, probably not what his ex wife might say, but he did seem to be all in for Celtic not just Summer Harl.
Aye we were all there when he went up for the corner to rescue hearts a point at Paradise, and yes he was a petulant child when Ntcham panenka'd him at hampden. But the picture of him on his knees for the invincible treble goal is as iconic as the goal itself IMO.
Anyway, let's hear it. Are we all in or all out on Gorgie Gordon?
Very sad to hear that former Celt Mike Galloway has passed away aged only 60.
I always remember Mike fondly as a guy who only seemed to score screamers, in Europe and domestically. He liked a long range effort.

Do the players meet fans after home games and if so, any idea roughly what time and if they'd sign autographs. I was hoping to get a couple of pictures signed for my local parish fete in June, to donate them as raffle prizes. I cant get to lennoxtown due to being unable to drive at the minute so CP is my only hope. Or if anyone else has got any better ideas?
