Im aware they've been around since the goldenage of animation like looney tunes. But the the 2000s really dominated the trope. Shows like Garfield and friends, Ren and stimpy, Chowder, and the Grim adventures of Billy and mandy were obsessed with it. To the point were fourthwall breaks just became cliche and unfunny.

Me personally i choose catdog. a cat and dog being conjoined is a pretty neat concept, and the plots and humor can be pretty funny. But I hate how mean spirited the show can be at times, especially Cat. Another one is Foster's home for imaginary friends. Bloo can be absolutely insufferable, infact I can barely sit through some episodes because of how narcissistic he is.

It takes place after Civil War and im interested in reading it.

I know disassembled is where Peter gets kissed by a spider lady and gets organic webbing inspired by the raimi films. Should I read it even though I know the plot?

Originally raimi wanted the vulture instead, but Sony pushed venom into the movie. And i know he didnt grow up with the character, but venom is underrated Af. I get see any spidey fan not liking him.

He starts stating "Garfield is a picker eater that only enjoys Italian food" which is obviously bullshit. I mean sure we all know Italian is garfield favorite, but he likes just about all foods in general.
