I'm looking for the above. The MiniPC that runs my Plex server can only handle 5gbit USB, so that's the minimum it needs to handle. I know there's a whole bunch of different chipsets used for these enclosures, so I'd appreciate any longterm experiences.

The main purpose will be 3 WD 12 TB drives (WD Red), two of which are linked as a large 24GB drive via mergerFS, and a third as a parity drive for Snapraid, all under Proxmox.

I'm currently running a Fantec QB-X2U31R in JBOD for the joint drives, and a seperate Fantec DB-G35U3-6G for the parity drive. Since this is messy and the mini PC only has so many USB ports, I'd like to move them all into a single enclosure.

Aber: Sie nennen ein Spiel (Sudden Strike 5) was ich definitiv niemals angefasst habe. Nie runtergeladen, bis zu dem Schreiben nicht mal von dessen Existenz gewusst.

Aber #2: IP Adresse stimmt, mit dem Hash lässt sich nix anfangen ("Datei: Sudden Strike 5"... wusste gar nicht, das das ein neues Dateiformat ist?). Woher, von was ich das geladen haben soll wird auch nicht erwähnt.

Ich weiß, dass das "Recht" in so einem Fall auf der Seite dieser Abzockanwälte steht, aber ich seh auch nicht ein, für einen Titel zu zahlen, den ich definitiv nicht heruntergeladen habe.

Was nun? Rechtsschutz hab ich leider nicht.

For some reason, an hour later and immediately after I wrote this question, I was suddenly able to log in perfectly fine again. I've been trying to get back into the system for 2 hours and now it just suddenly... goes?

Question stands, what was going on there?

I was attempting to resize the virtual drive of a VM. Went wrong, couldn't boot anymore, so I recovered the backup from 4 days ago. It's running Debian Trixie, headless.

It's booting and working fine again, except: I can no longer log in.

SSH, SFTP, SCP - I log in with my username and password, and it just... stops responding after the password. I also have a feeling that the VM itself then proceeds to slow down. In this state, I also can no longer shut it down or reboot it from Proxmox. A hard reset/stop sometimes works, sometimes only a full reboot of the node helps.

If I try to log in as root, it tells me my password is wrong. It's 100% the correct password.

If I try to log in as my username with the wrong password, it tells me authentication failed and I can retry.

For some reason, this VM will not let me open a direct console to it. It has GPU (Intel iGPU) passthrough enabled, but regardless of the display type I set, I only get a set of bootup messages about audio driver etc, and then the terminal stops at that point. This has always been that way and seems to be a common issue with proxmox and passthrough.

So, at this point I basically can not log into that specific VM at all anymore.

Anyone have any idea what could be going on here, and how to get out of this?

Ich hab bisher mit Immobilien wenig am Hut gehabt, daher wäre ich für ein paar Tipps dankbar.

Aktueller Stand:

Meinem Vater und meinem Onkel gehört(e) zu gleichen Teilen ein Haus (BJ 1899) mit Grundstück in einer Großstadt.

Mein Vater (>75) hat vor 5 Jahren meiner Schwester und mir jeweils die Hälfte seiner Hälfte geschenkt, mit vollem Nießbrauchrecht (er bekommt Mieteinnahmen und Wohnrecht, übernimmt aber auch alle laufenden Kosten weiterhin). Das Nießbrauchrecht geht an meine Mutter über, sollte er vor ihr sterben. Der Wert war unter den 400k, daher fallen für mich und meine Schwester keine Schenkungssteuer an, mein Vater hat auch alle Übergabekosten, Notar usw. übernommen.

Mein Onkel (>70) will mir jetzt seine Hälfte komplett schenken, zu ähnlichen Konditionen.

Nießbrauchrecht, Kostenübernahme, Mieteinnahmen, Weitergabe an meine Tante. Die Notarkosten etc bleiben bei mir.

Jetzt wurde das ganze von seinem Steuerberater nach Abzug von Nießbrauch und Freibetrag auf 275k bewertet. Also gut 55k Schenkungssteuer.

Derzeit ist eine Grundschuld von 170k DM (nicht Euro) noch eingetragen. Sollte ich die beibehalten, oder löschen lassen? Die Notarin empfiehlt eine Löschung.

Ich habe nicht vor, in das Haus einzuziehen, es ist derzeit vermietet an 5 Parteien und wird von einem kleineren Hausverwalter (keine große Firma) verwaltet.

Wie gehe ich damit am besten um? Meine Frau und ich könnten die Schenkungssteuer am Stück abbezahlen, das würde uns aber mehr als die Hälfte unseres Ersparten kosten. Das tut natürlich erstmal weh, weil wir ja aus dem Haus auch für hoffentlich noch viele Jahre keinen Ertrag erzielen. Oder ergibt ein (anteiliger) Kredit Sinn?

Und ganz generell, wie und wo sollte ich mich am besten weiter informieren? Immobilienbesitz hatte ich in meinem Leben eigentlich nicht auf der Bingokarte bisher.

Was ist mit der Steuererklärung? Muss ich das irgendwie vermerken, kann ich irgendwas davon derzeit absetzen, oder reicht die Info des Notars an das Finanzamt?

Das Haus soll auf Wunsch meiner Familie auch nicht veräußert werden (zumindest deren Lebzeiten), und wirft auch keine riesigen Gewinne ab (meine Großmutter, deren Vater das Haus damals erwarb, war recht sozial eingestellt und hat daher die Miete nicht viel über dem Minimum erhoben).

Entschuldigt, falls hier irgendwelche kritischen Infos fehlen, ich kenn mich wie gesagt eher wenig damit aus.

When trying to play back history or motion captures from the timeline, I can do that fine when it's in substream view, but as soon as I try to view the (main stream) highres view, it shows a spinning circle and won't play. There are no error messages at all in the frigate logs or the browser's debug view. I can export from the timeline and the exported files play without any errors and smoothly. The highres live view is also running fine and smooth.

This happens for both Edge and Chrome, but not Firefox. It happens regardless of whether I run the stream through go2rtc and/or ffmpeg. It also happens regardless of whether the lowres detect stream is the substream from the camera or a scaled down version of the main stream.

Except... sometimes it does work, for a random clip. Then the next one again does not play.

The strangest thing is, it worked perfectly fine until I switched cameras to a Thingino one with the new Raptor streamer. The output is standard H264 with AAC audio. Any ideas? This is driving me completely nuts.

I currently have some old indoor Yi camera sitting on a shelf half-angled to catch my windowsill, where I feed a crow regularly. The camera has Yi-Hack installed to take it out of the cloud.

What I'd like now is a similar setup, but to sit outside. My problem so far:

- Most new camera systems only work via cloud and/or an external NVR software. Frigate is set up, but it's a bit hard on the hardware of my home assistant setup.

- Most DIY camera setups like ESP32-Cam are heavily limited due to the power of the small MCUs.

What I want:

- Camera detects motion, starts recording a single or several 60 second clips as long as motion persists. When motion stops, it keeps recording for a bit longer, then stops. Frigate currently seems to record lots of small pieces whenever there's a bit of motion, so anytime the crow stops to think about what nut to pick up, recording stops and resumes shortly after.

- Camera has a web interface that allows me to view and download the video clips so I don't have to fiddle the card out on the windowsill.

That's basically what the Yi cam already does, but the two or three cams I tried since (tuya cam, esp32 cam and some other china thingy) all either require a phone app to work at all and don't have a web interface to access the files.

I have several raspberry Pi, RP2040/2350 and ESP32 variations at hand. Any suggestions? The smaller the setup, the better.

Heute auf dem Heimweg Umleitungsschilder und Behelfsampelaufbau um den Neubrunnenplatz gesehen. Was ist denn jetzt schon wieder?

Die Heuss Brücke ist ab 6 Uhr morgens kaum befahrbar und jetzt wird da auch noch dicht gemacht?

Wenn das so weitergeht, kann ich meinen Job kündigen, ich steh jetzt schon um 5:40 auf, damit ich um 8 auf der Arbeit sein kann.

My U1 suddenly started having these gaps. They seem to be happening on all spools with all filaments, but more on the left side than the right. Filament is dry, same profile and model was printed a dozen times with no issues. Gaps are completely random, not anywhere near any seams.

Edit: Now seems to be occuring on all heads equally.

Any ideas?
