You all need to pay the fees of the college alloted in round 3 first then click on accept and freeze and then when you pay and login to your account again the seat cancellation tab will pop which you'll need to click and then cancel your seat. The amount will be refunded in 10-15 days.

do ISE branch students have to go thru any inequality or discrimination in the placements?

Many of us joining colleges through COMEDK are from North India or other states far from Karnataka. One issue we all face is that the dates for Round 3 and Round 4 are often announced only 2–3 days in advance.

This makes it very difficult to book train tickets. By the time the schedule is released, most trains are either full or only have waitlisted tickets left, forcing many students to pay much more for flights or make last-minute travel arrangements.

Would it make sense if we all emailed or called COMEDK together and requested them to publish the tentative schedule for Rounds 3 and 4 well in advance? Even if the exact timings change later, having the expected dates beforehand would help thousands of outstation students plan their travel and avoid unnecessary stress and expenses.

If enough of us raise the same concern politely, there's a chance they'll consider announcing the remaining counselling dates earlier in the process.

What do you all think? Would you be willing to send an email or make a call if others do the same?

I came across this circular from RNS Institute of Technology (RNSIT) stating that offline classes for 1st year B.E. students (2026 batch) will begin on August 17, 2026, and that students are expected to report from Day 1. It also mentions that 85% attendance is mandatory from the very first day. The confusing part is that COMEDK counselling is still ongoing and later rounds continue into September. Many students won't even know their final allotted college by August 17. So I have a few questions:

Is it normal for colleges to start classes before COMEDK counselling is completed?

What happens to students who get admitted through later counselling rounds?Will they be given attendance relaxation or bridge classes?

Has anyone from previous batches faced a similar situation at RNSIT or other COMEDK colleges?

I've attached the circular for reference. I'd appreciate any insights from seniors or anyone familiar with COMEDK admissions.
