You are flown to a remote island measuring approximately 50 km × 50 km and parachuted in at the center of it with a single cargo bag. It's like a tropical jungle with tall trees.
The island has only one group of inhabitants: a tribe of cannibals.
The moment they see you being airdropped, 15 of their best hunters are dispatched to find and capture you.
The rules
- You have about 1-hour head start after your landing before the hunters reach you.
- They are extremely skilled hunters/trackers/trappers and are experts with bows, spears, and poison-tipped arrows, as well as creating traps.
- They have only primitive technology—no guns, vehicles, radios, drones, night-vision equipment, or modern weapons.
- They will try to capture you alive (exotic meat) and boil you and eat you. But they will not hesitate to kill you if they feel their lives are in danger.
- You have unlimited money to prepare beforehand. You may bring anything you want, provided everything fits inside your parachute cargo bag. Your total cargo weight cannot exceed 100 kg.
You cannot receive any outside assistance, communication, resupply, or extraction during the challenge.
You have to survive 24 hours from the moment you land.
If you are still alive and uncaptured after 24 hours, you are immediately airlifted off the island and $25 million is deposited into your account.

Has anyone photographed (or taken video) with an iPhone?
What settings do you use? People take videos of sunsets all the time: do we really need filters?
My goal is not to take professional level photographs or to waste time playing with settings. Maybe a video timelapse and a picutre or two of the total eclipse. And I want to enjoy most of the time to just look at it, instead of playing with the phone
I've noticed that when watching sunsets, the sun sometimes appears huge and very close to the horizon, while at other times or in other places it looks much smaller and farther away.
For the August 12 solar eclipse, do we have any way to predict how "large" the Sun will appear to observers? I know its actual angular size is essentially constant, but I'm referring to its perceived size near the horizon.
Will the eclipsed sun appear about the same across Spain, or are there locations where it will look noticeably larger because of the viewing geometry, landscape, or atmospheric conditions?
For context, I'll be staying at an Airbnb in Banyalbufar (Mallorca) with an unobstructed west-facing view of the sunset over the sea...
Arguably the best spots to watch the eclipse. Unless your accommodation is in the area, access to some of the best viewing spots on the island will not be possible.
Not going for stage 5, as it's only a slight weight reduction, not worth the time and 5M drops.

As totality ends, the moon's shadow is no longer simply moving across the landscape, but reaching the end of its journey across Earth and beginning to skip off the planet entirely.
Depending on atmospheric conditions, it may be possible to see the departing shadow cast onto distant haze layers or clouds.
What should I do?
I am sending a Devil Face note for grading. I expect the value of it to be around 1000$ graded.
