I just finished watching The Middle again, for the second time, and I have the need to watch it again.
I mean, sometimes I just put it on as "background noise" while I'm working or studying, and it's become my comfort show.
I regret not finding it sooner; it's truly a work of art ☝️🤓
I remember when I met my husband's parents, it was super natural, then after a while we started watching a movie with them. And then a scene like this came out and we were all like 🧍
So whenever I see this scene, I remember that and it makes me laugh quite a bit.
I was quite hooked by the previous three books; I grew fond of the protagonists in each one, and although I suffered, I loved the books... until we got to this one.
It makes me feel soooo uncomfortable that they specify so much and all the time that the protagonist resembles Eddison's sister. For example, on page 13:
>!"November 5th, in a week and a half, will mark twenty-five years since the day eight-year-old Faith Eddison, with her blonde hair and blue eyes, disappeared while walking home from school and was never seen again. Bran will look at Brooklyn Mercer's photos, and a part of him will inevitably see his sister. At this time, and in a case like this, I can't help but wonder how long it took him to stop seeing Faith when he looked at me." !<
And the fact that she even says Eddison's parents couldn't stop looking at her because she probably reminded them of the adult version of that their daughter could have been.
If Dot wanted to make me uncomfortable, well, she succeeded. For some reason, I feel like I'm reading some kind of emotional incest or something.
I didn't even manage to get past page 70, so I was a little disappointed.
Actually, Axl is a good boyfriend most of the time. I would have liked to see how this relationship developed.
It's hard to get Daryl merch where I live, so I bought clay last week and decided to draw him to have it there.
Also, my husband bought me a necklace with a wing because it reminded him of Daryl's vest and I'll never take it off.
On TikTok, I've come across many comments on selfship videos saying that if you have a partner, you shouldn't do yume.
And it's super weird for me because my husband knows about the yume I have, I spend all my time talking about them with him and he's completely fine with that, so... ?
But I was wondering if any of your partners have ever felt uncomfortable about that?
I'm so d*mn in love with Alicante, so when I found out he was featured in the Father's Day event, I started playing it again. It took me five days for it to finally seem like it, but it was worth it, omg, I love him and his daughter SO much
She's just a child and she's already been through so much, and as if that weren't enough, now they're turning her into a handmaid 😭
I never watched The Middle because where I lived it was like "the bad copy of Malcolm in the Middle" and it never really appealed to me... I didn't know what I was missing!
At least for me, the series never had any low points, no episode bored me, I started watching it when it was put on Netflix, I haven't stopped watching it since then and I finally finished the series. From beginning to end and it's one of the best series I've ever seen.
I loved this last chapter; it maintained the chaos that always characterized the series, a disorganized family, with their eldest son finally becoming truly independent.
And what about that time skip? With Axl having three identical sons, with Brick being a famous writer (and from the Halloween episode we know he's rich and has four children) I would have liked to see more of Sue's life beyond her relationship with Suan, but that's really because I've never liked Sue's partners.
And yet, I still like that they never changed anything about their house, knowing that each of them had a good life. The last shot of the Hecks, everything.
I give this series a 9.5, only because some scenes really stressed me out/make me uncomfortable , but other than that, I don't really have many bad things to say about it.
Mike isn't my favorite character, but this scene touched my heart. My father would never have traveled 40+ minutes just because I couldn't sleep, God, he wouldn't even come to my bed in the other room when I couldn't sleep as a child. So seeing Mike do that for Sue filled my eyes with tears 🥹
I mean, it's my first time playing Inside, so this picture is from the second time I've had to control other people... I admit it disturbs me.
I definitely need this Brick's sweater.
As someone who is part of the LGBTQ+ community and who has had to come out countless times, Sue's reaction really brought tears to my eyes.
Joy, words, timing, and empathy really click as they should.
Sue is a good person, this was just a naive situation that got out of control.
Does that absolve her of guilt? No. Because Sue should never have gone with Brad and Carly to her dad's work. And I think she should have called Mike as soon as people started arriving.
I was so stressed during that scene, thinking that someone was going to get hurt right then and that's it, they would sue (that's how it's written?) Mike.
I just saw this episode and I think it's a complete lack of respect that they put Brad in this wonderful costume and the whole episode isn't about him
Place your F/O and you'll get an ugly chibi like this (Yes, in the same pose because I don't know how to do much, haha)
I'd already done this with Daryl, but here it is with these two (poly relationship).
Satoru: Snow leopard.
Suguru: Silver black fox.
Aslan (me): Puma.
I used to work at an Oxxo, several years ago, so I edited Daryl into the uniform, haha.
Many people say that she could have been of help to the group, But I really think she was just as "in her own little world" as many people in Alexandria.
My opinion is based primarily on how she treated Sam. That child was clearly out of touch with reality, and she did nothing to help him.
I don't deny that she showed skill and perhaps would have survived if she hadn't died. But I don't think she would have been of much help to the group.
But dunno. What do you think?
