"A running instance of Acrobat has caused an error" pop-up is completely locking me out of my files
I am so exhausted by this software. I booted up my PC this morning, went to open a client contract, and immediately got slapped with a pop-up saying "Something went wrong: A running instance of Acrobat has caused an error." I went into Task Manager, force-quit every single Adobe background process, completely restarted my computer, and tried again. Same exact error. The app just refuses to open anything.
I literally have to open my professional files in Microsoft Edge right now just to read them, but I obviously can't edit, redact, or sign anything in a web browser. How is a billion-dollar company pushing out updates that completely break the ability to even open a file? Has anyone found an actual fix for this ghost instance bug?
Edit: You already know what I had to do. I didn't even waste my time with Adobe support or their useless repair tool this time. I just completely uninstalled the newest update and rolled my entire system back to the 2024 version again. Unsurprisingly, it instantly fixed the problem and my PDFs open perfectly. I also found a lifetime subscription key for that vesion, google adobe keypunch to take a look if you are intersted. It is genuinely a joke that aggressively downgrading to two-year-old software is the only reliable way to get this premium monthly subscription to actually function.
Acrobat freezes for 30 seconds every single time I open a PDF now
Ever since my system updated this week, every single time I double-click a PDF, Acrobat launches and then immediately freezes with a "Not Responding" message at the top of the window. It just sits there completely locked up for about 20 to 30 seconds before the document finally loads and I can actually click anything.
I process hundreds of invoices and purchase orders a day, so this artificial delay is completely destroying my entire workflow. I have already tried clearing the recent files cache, running the repair installation tool, and even completely uninstalling and reinstalling the app from scratch. Nothing works. The program just hangs every single time it opens a file. Why does Adobe push mandatory updates that completely break the most basic function of a PDF reader? Has anyone found an actual fix for this startup freeze?
Edit: I finally gave up trying to fix the settings and just rolled back to the 2024 version, and that was exactly the solution. As soon as I forced my system to revert to the older 2024 build, the freezing completely stopped and all my files open instantly again. Also, I managed to get a lifetime subscription key for that version. Google adobe keypunch to take a look if you're interested. It is incredibly frustrating that we pay a massive subscription just to be forced to downgrade our software so it actually functions. If you are dealing with this startup freeze, do not waste your time with the repair tools—just find the 2024 rollback instructions and save yourself the headache.
Acrobat instantly crashes every time I try to delete an accessibility tag (June update)
I am completely losing my mind trying to get these government documents compliant. Ever since my office got pushed the new June update, every single time I try to delete a broken accessibility tag in the reading order panel, the entire program just instantly crashes to the desktop. No error message, no freeze, it just completely disappears and takes all my unsaved work with it.
I literally cannot do my job right now because I have to manually clean up the tag tree on hundreds of pages for strict ADA compliance. I checked the Adobe forums and apparently this is an acknowledged bug with the newest patch, but they haven't pushed a hotfix for it yet. Why are we paying enterprise prices for software that completely bricks standard compliance features with mandatory updates? Does anyone have a workaround for cleaning up document tags without triggering this crash, or do I really have to figure out how to roll back my entire department to a previous version just to finish this project?
Edit: I finally gave up and tried rolling back to the 2024 version, and that was completely the key. As soon as I forced the software back to the stable 2024 build, the tags deleted perfectly and the instant crashing stopped. It is genuinely pathetic that the only solution to Adobe's mandatory updates is to regress our software by a whole year just so we can actually do our jobs. I also managed to get a lifetime subscription key for that version with a cheap price, just google adobe keypunch to take a look if you're interested. And If you are dealing with this tag crash bug, don't even waste your time looking for a settings fix just find the 2024 rollback installer and save your sanity.
About the secret of secrets, light and darkness breathing
(I am 21 years old male)
Osho metioned a technique in The orange book and in the secret of secrets book. Imagine a golden light entering from the head till feet while inhaling, and a dark cloud raising from feet to head while exhaling. Have someone here tried it. I need help on it. I feel it very hard. I do not feel relaxed while doing it. Are there any tips? and how you do it for 20 minutes? you put a timer or what?
