Anyone know what's going on up Fisk road?

We live on Fisk Rd & keep seeing massive dump trucks driving up & down the road. I've tried to flag one down & ask, but no one's stopped for me. What's going on west of us?

Flying in Rhode Island

Went to the family beach house & brought my Rainbow Burst Conyne Delta Kite. Beautiful day for flying!

Just moved into a small room upstairs

It's windowless, but I have a portable AC unit vented out of a legit duct. Also have a fan that pulls air out of the room, if necessary.

How's my reading look? CO2 went way up when I closed the door lol, so keeping it open unless I'm in a meeting 😆

Bought a totally remodeled house & this is how they chose to "finish" the siding where an exterior wall & roof meet.

Lots of rain runs into this corner, too. Absolutely pathetic execution.

So many little half-assed finishes like this. Mostly superficial, but they also didn't connect the dishwasher drain hose to the sink, so the first time we ran it, it drained onto the floor. 👎👎👎

Overall, though, it has a new roof, new plumbing, new wiring, and gorgeous kitchen, so the big stuff was worth all the little dumb stuff like this. (Also, this was the nicest house in our price range by a mile).

No clue. What's this blue?

My mom bought this for me & I have no idea what it is.

Fairly certain it's dyed, but the actual formation/ crystal isn't familiar to me

Thanks for anyone who has info!

**Edited to thank y'all for the info. I've sealed it up & wash my hands constantly, so no worries there!

Been agonizing over while model train i wanted to start with

Until I saw a well- worn Amtrak passenger from NYC parked in the Berkshires yesterday.

Now I know what I want & the kind of layout I'm going to create!

New Massive Geode??

I *think* it's quartz, but there's some funky formations I'm not familiar with. Can anyone give me more info on this new piece i got?

When you walk away & don't want to lose sight of the teeny tiny WIPs

Creating a little house & lawn dio for our realtor.

I had to make the smallest steps up to door, but had to walk away to let them dry.

They're so small i had to think of a way to remember (ADHD) what I was working on & not accidently sweep them away with my sleeves or something lol.

Still to do: gravel walkup, static grass lawn, add mailbox & for sale sign & LOTS of finishing touchups. Possible pergola if I have time.

Commenter Pointed Out It's AI Written & Name Drops an App 🚩🚩🚩

I was honestly fooled at first & (having ADHD myself) skimmed past the app name.

Commentator pointed out that it's written by AI & hawking and App.

Good eye, Bud! It's so subtle pervasive!

Not in my favorite sub!

😒 Kinda blatant, but I wonder how many folks see this & don't give it a second thought.

Y'all, I am SO tired of it invading every aspect of our lives. Gross

Miniature Things I've Made

I started by making kits from Amazon, but then started creating things from scratch. I'm interested in creating hyper-realistic scenes & recreating real places.

I'm sitting at my computer & noticed the birds outside got really loud, like, they're yelling.

I looked out the window & see a large bird atop a blue blob, which i think is a blue Jay because I've been feeding them peanuts & there's a ton of then around rn.

I got a picture then tried to sneak closer to get a better view & image, and they're both gone. Sorry for the poor quality image!!

We're on the border of western Massachusetts & upstate New York. I know we have coopers & long-tailed hawks here & also balds eagles.

It's eerily quiet now. I feel a little guilty for luring all these birds to the yard 😞

Thanks, y'all.
