lupron question

I am doing medicated cycles with Letrozole. It looks like I’m going to be triggering with Lupron instead of Ovidrel (due to awful side effects with Ovidrel), then supplementing with estrogen and progesterone. I’ve never tried this before and am a little nervous. Interested to hear others’ experiences!

As an aside, I always thought Lupron was only used for suppression, but apparently it can be used one-time as a trigger shot as well.

random waves of nausea

I’m currently at 4.5mg of LDN after titrating up since February.

I’ve noticed that I’ve been getting random waves of nausea throughout the day. I take LDN at night, and feel fine after taking it. The nausea starts the next day, usually in the afternoon and evening, and seems to happen randomly — I’ll just have this sudden feeling like I’m going to vomit and it will pass in a few minutes.

Has anyone experienced this?

Ovidrel question

I have endo and have already had excision surgery. This will be my 4th cycle trying timed intercourse with Letrozole.

My RE is pushing me to use Ovidrel (trigger shot) again. However, last time I used it, I was in so much pain that I honestly considered going to the ER, which is not something I would say lightly! The pain was excruciating. My RE has said this is “just from ovulation,” wasn’t concerned, and wants me to try it again.

I track with OPKs, have fairly regular cycles, and am confident as to when I ovulate. I’ve also had ovulation confirmed with lab work. How much am I hurting my chances by not using Ovidrel? Does it just help with timing or are there other benefits?

Letrozole

This is fertility related, but not just fertility related!

I have already had excision surgery and am trying Letrozole + timed intercourse. This will be at least my 5th medicated cycle. I haven’t had any positive tests yet, but there’s been an unexpected silver lining — my periods are lighter and less painful when I take Letrozole, and my PMDD symptoms are even more manageable!

When I told an OBGYN about this, she said it makes sense since Letrozole tampers down estrogen.

I know that lighter periods aren’t the end goal here, but I’ll for sure take the break. It has me wondering if Letrozole (or something similar) could be used in treating endometriosis symptoms.

Has anyone experienced similar?

endometriosis/fertility

I’ve already had an excision surgery with an excellent specialist. After trying for over two years with no positive tests, I started going to a fertility clinic. I’ve tried medicated cycles with Letrozole, and have recently added LDN — currently at 3mg.

Has anyone with endo had luck with LDN helping them to conceive?

feeling defeated.

After having excision surgery with an excellent specialist, I was naively hopeful. (I want to add - I don't regret surgery at all; it improved my quality of life immensely, and my primary goal was never fertility.)

I've had lab work, more ultrasounds than I can count, an HSG, and have had my partner tested (no issues). I've been taking a prenatal, CoQ10, Omega 3, NAC, and Vitamin D. I eat healthfully 95% of the time (I'm not perfect!), don't smoke, very rarely drink, and exercise 6x/week.

It's been over two years of trying in some way, including tracking using OPKs. I have regular cycles and have confirmed ovulation with lab work. I just finished my 5th cycle of medicated timed intercourse with Letrozole and Progesterone.

And I have yet to see a single positive test.

The icing on the cake was my OBGYN asking me if I "stopped trying" because I "should have been pregnant by now."

I am not in a financial place to consider IVF at the moment, and I honestly feel defeated. I just wanted to vent to others who will get it.

morning dosing & levothyroxine

I posted recently about feeling more fatigued since starting LDN. A few folks suggested taking it in the morning, which I’d like to try. I always take Levothyroxine first thing on an empty stomach and wait at least an hour before eating or taking other meds. Could I take my LDN with food later on? I’m thinking I shouldn’t mix it with Levothyroxine. Thanks in advance for any insight!

cycle changes?

I’m trying to conceive, and have been taking progesterone for a luteal phase defect. Without it, I get my period 9dpo. With it, I get my period 13dpo.

I also recently got up to 4.5mg of LDN.

Well, this month I started spotting at 8dpo. This happened without progesterone, but never with. I also ovulated late this cycle, so something just feels off.

Has anyone else experienced this? I’m worried my period is coming really early.

I am so upset and just need support.

I did timed intercourse this cycle with Letrozole. I am also on progesterone suppositories for a luteal phase defect. Without progesterone, I get my period about 9dpo. With it, I get my period about 13dpo.

Well, today is 8dpo and my period is starting. I have never experienced this with progesterone and I don’t understand. Granted, I think I missed a dose, but I’ve done that in the past and have not gotten my period this early. This makes me afraid my endometriosis is worsening again. I know I’m all over the place right now; I’m just so upset and confused.

I started LDN at 0.5mg a few months ago for Hashimoto’s, endometriosis, and fertility. I’m up to 3mg.

I’m so happy that my periods are less painful! Big win for me.

However, I feel like I’ve been more tired than I was before. Wondering if anyone else experienced this and if it may lessen in time. I also feel like I’m a bit more moody. I’m supposed to increase my dose again soon, and i’m wondering if I should hold off. It’s also weird being constipated for the first time in my life, but that’s been more manageable than the fatigue.

The only time I have gotten a ratio of over one is either in the months following excision surgery or when taking Ovidrel (which I know artificially alters the test). Is this bad? I read that a ratio of over 1 is needed for ovulation to happen, but based on lab work, I do ovulate. Is there a way to increase LH/is it helpful to have higher levels?
