People who have gone through tough times while living in Singapore, what is the best advice you can give from your own experience?

Also, what are some resources or assets in Singapore that genuinely helped you? Things like support groups, government schemes, community help, counselling, financial aid, career support, or even just places/services that made life easier during difficult periods.

What helped you get through it, or what do you wish someone told you earlier?

Why do Koreans bite their lips or push their cheeks with their tongue when they’re unhappy or annoyed?

Why do Koreans bite their lips or push their cheeks with their tongue when they’re unhappy or annoyed?

I notice this a lot in Korean TV shows and dramas. Like when a character is frustrated, holding back anger, uncomfortable, or judging someone, they do this lip bite or cheek pushing thing with their tongue.

Is this an actual common expression/body language in Korea, or is it more of a drama acting habit?

What are some fast food changes in Singapore that you actually miss or remember?

McDonald's Curry Sauce - For me, it’s when McDonald's removed the peanut ingredient from the curry sauce. I know they probably did it because of allergy concerns so more people can enjoy it safely, which is understandable. But honestly the original version tasted way better to me. The current one has this weird plasticky taste compared to the older curry sauce.

KFC's Coleslaw ** Vegetable Salad - Ok I remember it wrongly lol, it was the Vegetable Salad, but still. Bring it back! I remember it used to have peas and carrots mixed in, and it actually felt more textured and refreshing. Now it feels like it’s mostly just lettuce and mayo. It’s smoother, but also kind of bland compared to the old version.

Burger King's Drink Size - The old L size was huge, almost like what you would call XL now. You could really feel like you were getting value for money.

I know there’s already those music on speakers and other issues but is it too much to expect people to be mindful of personal space on the train?

The seats already have clear sections, but some people still spread their elbows or legs into the next seat. It gets uncomfortable, especially during peak hours.

Not asking for perfection. Just keep within your own seat so everyone has some space.

Is that reasonable or am I being too picky? I mentioned this before and people didn’t take it well.

Can't get used to this body haha.

Every day, I get random aches, headaches and restless. Coffee is just isn't enough to get by!

Is this normal? What are your remedies?

Are these “green” measures in SG actually green or just cost cutting?

Like:

- waterless / flushless toilets (toilets stinks so much nowadays)

- no straws

- pay for plastic bags

- open-air malls instead of fully aircon

I get that they say it’s for sustainability, but at the same time it also feels like it saves money or pushes more responsibility to us?

Not saying it’s bad, just wondering how much of this actually helps the environment vs just being more efficient/cheaper.

Anyone knows if these really make a big difference?
