LOVE the suit!!! Not to sound like I’m nitpicking, but does she look slightly slimmer? Or maybe it’s just the skirt made her look larger than she was. I have to remind myself. These aren’t the same animators that worked on the movie still I think she looks good and I had a feeling they were going to show her lifting her car.
I can’t wait to see the new Encanto content for this game! I’m a huge fan of the movie and I’ve been waiting for Encanto to be added! Pretty sure Mirabel’s gonna be joining the race, and likely her two sisters. But honestly, I really want Bruno to join! He would be a great trickster or even defender (since green is his color)
I recently thought back on Encanto, then looked back on Abuela Alma's backstory during the Dos Orguitas song playing then learned about the Thousand Days' War that occurred in Colombia from 1899 to 1902, I'm not sure if it's true but I believe it.
Despite Mirabel holding the candle, I could almost see this as a poster for a sequel. Or, heck, as a poster for the movie itself! It reminds me of those classic movie posters Drew Struzan made for Star Wars and Indiana Jones.
Now all we need is a Monopoly version and a Fluxx version.
For those of you who don’t know, back in the 80s, Michael Jackson and George Lucas teamed up to create an 3D attraction for Epcot called “Captain Eo.” It was a very popular attraction for years until it was replaced with (I think) “Honey I Shrunk the Audience” in the mid-nineties. It was brought back for a limited run shortly after Jackson’s death.
Apparently, Alex Hirsch (of Gravity Falls fame) had pitched the idea of a sequel series called “Captain Neo” that followed the adventures of Eo’s descendant. I think it was dropped because a little “documentary” called “Leaving Neverland” was tarnishing Jackson’s post-mortem reputation.
I could find ZERO info about anything else on this but I am SO pissed we never got it! Love MJ, loved Eo and this looks like it’d have been a fun Cyberpunk style show.
Now I want to make this perfectly clear that I have not watched any of these movies. Nothing against people who like them; I actually appreciate the idea of classic Disney characters having future generations. It’s a cute idea and clearly, these films developed a following. I just never had much interest.
That being said, I am a HUUUUGE Encanto fanatic! It lives rent free in my head 24/7. So when I heard that they were going to include a character affiliated with Encanto, I have to admit I was intrigued.
My only thought was why Encanto and not one of the other successful franchises, like Tangled or Frozen. From what I understand, they do make a big deal about characters descended from royalty, so it’s kind of weird how they would have a Madrigal when they’re not considered royalty.
Then I started doing some research on the plots, and I looked up what the story was for the last movie. Apparently, there was some time traveling involved and the two main characters changed the future. Now they have to deal with the altered timeline while facing some new foe.
(OK now I’m gonna get to my point!)
The only logical reason that they are trying to introduce the Madrigal characters into this franchise mainly has to deal with the time manipulation aspect. Is there a possible chance that maybe Bruno is going to be called upon to help solve the problem? He can see the future after all, and, if you really think about it, he probably sees multiple possibilities of future outcomes and just predicts the most likely to happen. Have a a theory that when the time traveling manipulation happened, he wasn’t affected by a dude was gift. Like somehow, it keeps him from forgetting how the old timeline was.
I could totally see the princesses be like
Red: We need to find some who deals with time magic! Someone who knows what the future will bring!
Luis: Actually….i know a guy.
I know there have been times when they have introduced the actual Disney characters into the film, but they’re still drastically different from their original versions, so I’m not sure how they’re going to incorporate Bruno.
Like I said, this is just a very flimsy theory and there’s a very strong chance that Luis will be the only Madrigal in the entire movie, but one can hope.
Just watched the teaser for the new Descendants movie and I THINK I spotted the Encanto character that’s supposed to be Luisa’s son, Luis. Curly hair, yellow vest, blue ascot. Couldn’t get a screenshot, but can anyone confirm?
So my store started selling this “GUI GUI” slime kits based on K-pop Demon hunters and each box contains information about the character. Right now they just have all three HUNTR/X members plus Derpy. Anyway, I was reading this thing about mirror and it said how she ditched medical school to become a singer? She was a med student?! like… where was this first revealed? I’m not claiming to be a K-pop scholar or anything, but I haven’t heard about her almost becoming a doctor.
Went to a toy fair a few weeks ago and someone made all these 3-D printed bookmarks. Naturally, I had to get Derpy. Yeah I know it looks a little weird with the red on the teeth (I’m just telling myself he tried eating the flowers), but I tend to support artists when it actually looks like they’re using 3-D printers for quality stuff instead of just copying images online and I’ve never seen this picture before. I love the concept, but 3-D printed bookmark don’t always stay in books very easily, especially when you put them in your purse.
