Grasping and retaining state civil rules?

As the title shows! I'm being asked to read and have an understanding of at least 9-10 of the Texas Rules and Civil Procedures here at my new job.

What's the best way yall handled the task of reading and understanding of these rules? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Also I'm in PI, wrongful injury, workers comp, etc.

Thanks in advance!

(P.s doing my first ever disclosure was amazing!)

Starting PI for the first time in 4-5 years.

Hey y'all! Starting a new job on the 17th! Its PI, wrongful death, car crashes.. etc.

The last time I worked in this realm was nursing home neglect cases.

They did express how its going to be complex cases. I'll be supporting 3 attorneys. One for pre-litigation and the other two are in litigation. I also believe I'll be working with two other paralegals.

Any advice with working with this realm of civil cases?? I'd greatly appreciate it. Its been a hot minute! I was handling landlord/tenant law prior to this.

Thanks in advance! 💜

How to not view personal hygiene as a chore?

As the title says, I unfortunately see my personal hygiene as a chore rather than feeding into myself. What ways helped you see taking care of your personal hygiene as something to look forward to rather than dread it? Thanks ladies!

[TX] Class C Misdemeanor hinder job chances?

Hey y'all! I got arrested for a Class C Misdemeanor in last year. No conviction, would this hinder my chances of a job with the background check? I'm not pulling up on my city's criminal background check. Nor the police arrests. Help?

Advice with getting a custom arm cuff that will have amethyst & smokey quartz

As the title says! I'm buying a custom arm cuff with those two crystals. Should I be wary of them being together or the same piece? Or looking forward to their properties being in the same space? Thanks in advance yall! 💜

What to do with this white casting on/in my hair?

Hey all! I just did my first ever wash and go, to define my curls and not have to worry about them for a hot minute. I used these two products, and now I have a casting of products just sitting on my hair. Help?! How can I do away with it? Or is it one of those things I'll just need to accept. Thanks!

Told I was "close minded" by my husband's (white) therapist (black)

Morning/ Afternoon ladies! I'm growing into my identity as a black woman (25 years old). It's gotten to the "point" where I seem to have made it my identity. Asking my husband questions pertaining to him being married to a black woman. As well as mainly giving my advice but informing him that my insight might be a bit different due to me being a black woman.

We all know the struggles, the journey of building confidence and not be apologetic of the space we take, learning the pain our ancestors endured

So that we may be free and those who continue to fight for our rights. As well as the skewed beauty standards of black women. Just to name a few!

My husband and I took a day trip to my nephew's birthday party. I was reading a book called "Sistah Samurai", the last line in Chapter 5 is: "Someone's got to teach these fools: Never disrespect a Black woman." I read that and thought " I know that's right." So I read it out loud to my husband, to which I said "That's pretty accurate." He then mentions how he and his therapist, who's a black woman, had discussed how much I talk about being a black woman. To the point where she stated i seem to come off as close minded

Its truly been a journey, to be where I am in acceptance as a black woman. I truly believe everyone should accept themselves as who they are. It just feels a little bit more.. deeper as a black woman. I genuinely don't know how to explain it!

Needless to say, I know he wasn't minimizing who i am, but rather maybe find a balance of embrace my blackness but not make it my sole identity. If that makes sense!!

I also had spoken to a friend of my husband's and asked him how can I find that balance? To which he's actually mulling over that as well!

I'd appreciate some advice and encouragement!! Thanks ladies 💜
