My contract has eu roaming included, but still charged the daily rate.

App is down so cannot check the details, but when abroad I checked my account and it said i had something like "you can use your data as you would at home" included in my plan.

On this basis I didn't buy an esim or other package, thinking this meant I wouldn't be charged extra. Obviously I was. What's going on?

Polish Baltic coast anywhere between Swinoujscie to Gdynia. Places worth staying at in September?

Looking for places with a nice balance of tranquil beach and some bars and restaurants, ideally with a train station. I won't be driving anyway.

Not visited this area before but was thinking of heading to Swinoujscie and making my way eastward, but don't know what the vibe is like at the numerous town along the way.

Any of particular interest or best avoided?

Why are there suddenly so many Aussies in London again?

Being in Islington, Cannonbury, I swear 90% of people I hear on the streets are either Aussie or American.

Thought they all hung out in Clapham or Kensington respectively? Did something happen?

Why do deliveroo/uber eats cyclists wear face masks?

I assumed it was because it was cold, but they even wear them in this hot weather. Is it part of the uniform or what?

What to do with unused days?

Bought a 1 month 7 day pass. Only used 5. Back in home country now.

Aside from getting a flight somewhere before the end of the month and eurostar back, is there any creative way of making use of the 2 days?

I feel like id be doing it purely for the sake of using them, unless anyone can give me some inspiration?

Whats going on with the EES thing? (Europe)

I'm a British citizen. Went on Eurostar London to Brussels, and once through to the departure lounge I asked a copper how/when do I do the ees thing? He told me not to worry - I was through afterall. I expected some kind of process. Saw other people being fingerprinted at the passport kiosk.

Anyway I flew back to London from Warsaw a week or so later, again anticipating an ees check or long queues like id heard about. Made sure i got there early. Again nothing. What's going on?

Do you actually need seat reservations on 'Reservation Compulsory' DB trains in Germany?

Ive been paying €6.80 a pop for several reservations within Germany and not once has anyone wanted to check. There has always been plenty of room in 1st. The IC/ICE are the ones that want reservations according to the app, while RE trains are optional.

I just wondered if the planner is giving accurate information?

Why did South America take to football, but not North America?

As a sport invented and codified in England, how come it became more popular in places less influenced by Britain and less popular in places more influenced by Britain, even Canada, India and Australia? Why isnt Canada a great cricketing nation and Australia a great footballing nation?

Nationwide boat sales. Any experience?

Considering using them to sell my boat. Just wondered if anyone had any experience using them, as buyer or seller.

Is there a season to look forward to?

If it is cold, its rarely that nice clear-blue crispness, but a horrible dark biting chill, or it isnt cold enough.

When its hot, its ridiculously hot, its an unbearable cloying heat, rather than anything enjoyable. Randomly lurching from one extreme to another.

Then the rest of the year there is a continual roster of raging storms, floods, or long periods of ugly grey drizzle. It just always manages to be crap but in different ways.

Is the UK the only country to not have an actually enjoyable season to look forward to?

What's going on with this box?

I went to post a card, but it wouldn't fit into the slit. Looked like an active box with valid collection plate.

What are these things?

They are attached to doorways on grand old buildings in London. One on each gatepost.
